Officine Creative for Barneys tan zip boots - size US 10. Gently worn - condition 9 of 10. They are unlined glove-like leather and fit almost glove-like - comfortably snug. they are a very soft, forgiving leather that i say would accomodate a 10 or 10.5. they fit me perfectly and I wear a 10 in the Alden Indy, 10.5 in Adidas sneakers, 10 in pretty much all the Gucci shoes, US 10 in Paul Smith boots. Dimensions are 12 1/4 x 4 1/8.
$155 shipped conus

steve byrne. absolute favorite.
Steve byrne, while very funny, really isnt alternative. Re great alt comedy, Andrew Daly is my favorite. His CD Nine Sweaters is simply amazing - nine original character monologues. I cry every time.

Konadog, I've been contemplating Eddies (SoCal, right?) Shoe Repair for some Cat's Paw half soles on a pair of my boots. What's your feedback on them, their work, service, turnaround time?
It might be a great alternative to Hukurokuju in Japan, but not as artistic I suppose.
Cheers!
I had a unique experience with Eddie's. Brought the boots in at 11:00 on a Saturday and had them done by 3:00, same day. As you can see, they look really nice. A+ in my book. Not cheap, but worth it.

Wesco Boss chocolate brown engineer boots with full Cat Paw soles size 10D. Condition 9/10. Fit true to size. These are positively gorgeous and are built like tanks. Only reason I'm selling is I've determined I'm more of a lace-up guy. Soled with original Cat Paws by Eddie's Shoe Repair in Sherman Oaks.
$400 >> $380 >> $360 >> $340 shipped conus

My Wesco Boss engineer boots with Cat Paw soles via Eddie's Shoe Repair. Gorgeous, but going up for sale to buy some Bounty Hunters.

re Weird Guys fit, I would definitely say size down 1. i'm a 34 waist in all levis and dress pants and i went with a 33 Weird Guy after trying them on at Barneys. after 5 months of wear they have stretched to the point that i think they're perfect, perhaps a little loose.
when deciding on which size to buy in WG i emailed brandon svarc. he suggested sizing down one unless i planned to bike in them, in which case he suggests sizing down two.

re Eddie's Shoe Repair and Cat Paws, I just had a pair of Wesco Boss boots resoled with full Cat Paws. Ran me $150. I thought that was expensive when he quoted me. Then I got them back. Wow, worth the money. I will post pics in the next few days.

i was just at barney's and they now have the Skinny Guy in a light blue stretch non-selvedge denim. they are really pretty great. anyone know if these are for sale online anywhere? i'm kinda in a no-buy mode right now but may pull the trigger if i can get for less than retail.

They don't fade much right?
the silk denims i have don't seem like they'l fade much. and the cashmere blend is a grey color, which i doubt will fade much either. but damn are they comfortable.

since i really love the fit and comfort of my silk denim skinny guys and cashmere blend slim guys, i emailed brandon svarc to see if there are any additional colors/washes coming in the future. he wrote back such:
"In the Fall we will have a new cashmere stretch denim in the SkinnyGuy fit in dark indigo."
i'm definitely buying these.

I feel like I'm the only one with Skinny guys. Anyone else have a pair?
i have a pair of the silk denim skinny guys - they are becoming my favorite jean. i went true to size with them, unlike my weird guys and slim guys, where i sized down one. i think the fit is great - higher rise than the the weird guy, slimmer bottom than the slim guy. and the silk denim is crazy smooth after 6 wears.

did you wash you cashmere's yet? curious to see how soft they are after a wash. I haven't put much wear into mine at all yet especially since the weathers so cold
i have not yet washed them. worn them maybe 10 times. when i called brandon to ask how i should care for them he suggested wear them as long as you can before washing. that being said, they soften with wear.

naked and famous has two different cashmere jeans. the grey ones that are 8% cashmere (which i own) that retail at $239 and a black or super dark blue predominantly cashmere that retail at like $1700.

the kevlar denims are a really dark blue, almost black. like a midnight blue.
and i also saw those crazy expensive cashmere jeans at barney's. the $1700 ones. they seem nice. not stiff at all, really floppy actually. don't know who would buy them, that's just stupid money for pants.

has anyone bought the N&F kevlar denim jeans yet? i tried them on at barneys and they have a solid fit and seem like they would last through the next world war. but i was sweating in them pretty quickly, so i bought the silk denim skinny guys. went tts as sizing down 1 (like i did in my cashmere slim guys, black selvedge slim guys, and indigo weird guys) made my ass look like a woman's.

just picked up a pair of the grey cashmere denim slim guys on sale at barneys. after one wear these are officially my favorite jeans. also have the indigo weird guys and the black selvedge slim guys. but the cashmere denim (non selvedge) is terrific.
