  1. Anyone with a strong interest in older Raf Simons / Helmut Lang, good people skills, responsible, organized, free at least 2 days per week in the NYC area? Hit me up for a very unique and cool internship opportunity. No experience necessary.

  2. went to nyc last week and saw a couple of these pieces irl... the blazers are cool but the boxy fit + 3 buttons make it look like you're wearing your uncles blazer from the 90s :( i didn't think much of them but seeing them in person the zebra patterned knits are killer, and the jeans look perfect.

dat houndstooth coat is my favorite piece so far

Where did you go that had them already? I went to the soho location last week as well and only saw a handful of items. Also, bummed that I missed seeing you when you were in town! - Dom

  3. I'm a little rusty with authenticating suits, so a second opinion would be appreciated.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dior-Homme-07SS-Mens-100-amp-Wool-Solid-Black-Suit-EU46-US36-S-/271507818441?nma=true&si=ptD4cgDWQA98muG5z5nDxYRu2cA%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

The more I look at it, the more I think this is a fake.  The tags seem a bit off in position and the composition tag doesn't say "Composition" above Laine/Wool, and my suit from the same season does.

kinda late but it's authentic, key things to look for are font and texture of wash tags, both of which are on point here

  4. Just became Editor-in-Chief of my school's (Brown University) fashion magazine. Doing a total overhaul aesthetically and currently working with some sufu-alum brands, real world fashion tech companies (can't mention names yet but they've been in Vogue, Bullett....), and so on, to create a really nice publication. If anyone's interested in contributing hit me up via pm.

edit: i know its not a "job" or "internship" per se, but it will definitely help with getting your foot into the industry.

  5.

had to watch this fossil of a video for a class on the internet. some of the gregorian chant meets 80s korg music, machine dialogue, and dry humor equated to an amusingly weird visual and auditory experience.

  6. Some very direct Rockabilly looks in here, but what's most interesting is that the influence is skewing towards England rather than LA, as it has been. The cuts of the jackets and coats are reminiscent of what 80's UK  post-punk bands wore (see the wardrobes of Orange Juice - whose lead singer and guitarist Edwyn Collins  was shot by Hedi in Jan of 2012 - Josef K, or Aztec Camera). Happy to see him finally doing creepers. I sense a trend though, with each season featuring some classic rock and roll boot. FW13 was the motorcycle boot, SS14 was winklepickers, and now FW14 is creepers. What's next?
