Hey mate, I measured the inseam, and it's about 78cm. There is probably less stacking on my pair because long legs + mid rise + hiking up my pants = less break.

Awesome pictures Propeller! How many washes/soaks did you do for these jeans?

Kidult has tagged up stores from Paris to LA and now NYC with his name. His latest victim is Supreme NYC. What do you guys think about his latest heist?

    Check out the article below:

    Kidult Makes Friends with Supreme

Kidult made his American debut early this morning by using a fire extinguisher on the storefront of Supreme in New York. No stranger to destroying storefronts, Kidult has done the same in Paris to Colette, Yves Saint Laurent, JC/DC, and Agnes B. A film crew has always documented his vandalism and there will most likely be a live Supreme video soon.

  3. LVC's are appealing to me because they're made in the USA. I definitely wouldn't buy these if they were made overseas, no matter what country or how superior the quality was. I have nothing against overseas products but my jeans are one thing I want made here.

  4. I believe I bought my LVCs for $80 back in early 2009 when they were on sale at the bay area Levi's flagship store sale. In retrospect I wish I bought more than two pairs. One of them got completely shredded in the washing machine (how, I'm not sure) and the other one I'm wearing now.

I'm not sure what to buy next but I sure as hell wouldn't mind another pair of LVCs. Paul, I'll have to look into SDA jeans. Do you have any other recommendations on other brans that make jeans that don't crock so quickly?

  5. that is true. I think that cones fabric holds its indigo better. but it is, in fact, rope dyed.

You're right. I meant to say it was not lightly rope dyed and the indigo dye cores more to the core than other denim manufacturers.

  6. Totally. I'm not going to bash japanese denim, especially on superfuture where most japanese denimheads gather online. What I will say is that LVC's are definitely on-par with their quality and construction.

Stitching quality and overall construction is on-par with my IH 634s. In terms of the indigo, Levi's denim (cone denim, to be more exact) doesn't use rope dying or other techniques that make fading an easier process. The indigo is deep and takes a long time to fade.

When I first got my LVC 47's I used to dislike them because it was a LOT harder to get results out of them, especially compared to my iron heart jeans. However I now attribute my disliking to my own impatience and I've learned that jeans were never meant to be easy fading, designer-looking jeans in 9 months without washing them.

No, 1947's might not be historically accurate (mine are a 2007, sized down cut) but they sure are excellent jeans. I didn't buy them for historical accuracy, I bought them for their contemporary slim-straight cut, and for this, they do their job.

  7. I'm breaking in my second deadstock pair of LVC 1947's today. The first pair of 1947's got thrashed to pieces and had holes within 2 months of wear because of notorious sagging... I took them to get repaired at denimdoctors and they were good as new.

I ended up getting 4-5 months out of them total before my washing machine decided to rip a grapefruit sized hole on the upper thigh and through the pockets. I figured enough was enough.

My style's definitely changed and I've started to wear my pants the normal way. 23 isn't bad for giving up these juvenile trends :)

Wish me luck with this pair guys.

  8. the best patches had been used for the 555s... along with todays japan repros, which are imo the best!

Not true at all... these patches on the 4170 Spring 2k6 are the best LVC patches I've seen, period.

The first two pictures are from a brand new pair of 32/34's I have in the closet.

The third picture if after only three months of wear. I don't know how, but somehow I have a way of wearing patches fast. It's surprising because this looks a lot older than the wear from my jeans. the texture is amazing. Think of the consistency of a well worn in leather major league baseball.

  9. Guys, I'd like some opinions on this fit. I'm a pretty big Asian dude, and I used to be a linebacker in high school. Unlike most of my yellow brothers, size 29 jeans just don't cut it for me. I work out a lot and got some pretty big thighs, I'm wondering if this fits too tight for me.

btw, my thighs look a lot bigger because my shirt pulls up when I take the picture. It's usually a lot lower. and no shoes in the house u know how we dooooooooooooooooooo

  10. just got my pair from fed ex

    i love the fit now,

but are these going to fit after a soak?

i went true to size with a 31..same as my sexsc06 and sexdbxsufu09

You're the first person I've liked the fit of these jeans on. Nice bro

  11. He's right, this contest is meant to organize LVC fanatics and compare our different well worn jeans. Prizes, winning, etc are just a secondary benefit from the whole thing. As a community, we gain more from having more participants. It would be pretty gay to omit someone for just soaking their jeans.
