  1. Dr_Heech loves this post. And yes l am too very excited by the forthcoming FW 1942 model 🤩
  2. Shit, nearly forgot - Happy Birthday @Maynard Friedman who must be at least in his late fifties by now. Still doesn't look a day older than 60. Hope you're partying hard me old mucka!
  3. Love looking at old photos where you can see how differently people wore their 501's in terms of the buckle adjuster. Here we have Walter Latta, at his ranch in Bozeman Montana (1939) and his straps are hanging loose. Whereas in the previous ^^photos one cowboy has had his straps cut off and the other wears a thinner width belt to allow both belt and buckle strap done up.
  4. @beautiful_FrEaK Are Csf taking legal action against Sugarcane for copyright infringement? 😂 On a separate note, l got my 1941 csf model hemmed at Soas yesterday. Will put some pics up later in the week.
  5. Stole this from the interweb. San Francisco 1942. Guy on the left looks to be wearing a fresh out of the box Levis 213 with a pocket flap judging by the buttons. Cool photo.
  6. Include it in the price then, l can always keep the jeans and sell off any surplus 😉
  7. You'd better let me take those 'honeymoon' jeans off you then 🤣
  8. There's one guy with ' l Try' on his number plate (he's got a 100 grand beamer 2 seater) and another bought one of those Lambo 4x4's. These guys aren't young! I mean have you ever seen Victor Meldrew driving a Lambo 4x4? So sad. The worst is one guy so minted, he drives to the club in his own personal golf buggy with 'My hole' on the plate. Doesn't even bother with a car! Told his mate once if he was in that much pain that he had to advertise it, l had some Anasol for that in my bag. Not had anybody come back at me about it so l guess he sorted it. I keep my distance from these people.
  9. ^Agreed. As l often say to the minted golf fuckwits over at the posh course, a personalised number plate is no substitute for a personality 🙂
  10. Would be interested in a comparison, measurements-wise to your FW47'S when you have the time @beautiful_FrEaK [Edit] Doh! forgot your SC's are One wash and your FW's were unwashed 😊
  11. Use monopoly money. Smaller and more convenient but still has the stopping power for any rotating bi-fold nonsense, hopefully.
  12. Tears of joy no? 🤣
  13. S'funny @Broark just saw this before your post. Here's all the pics l have have collected of this pair. Amazing. Forgot to say l collected these purely for the flasher/ticket info but also because of that wavey back pocket stitching 😍
  14. Not plebeian at all @tooth. A good honest review. And as for an expert opinion on a 1946 model, l think @Flash is the man to ask (albeit he is spending his cash on ink these days) as he had a passion for them.
  15. We need a review of all your jeans collection now Joe, how many wearers and how many squirreled away for 'later'? 😄
  16. Cheers Shred, l have bought from Hoosier before and enjoy the honest communication. Their measurements haven't let me down yet. I will take their advice and wait for clear measurements of both sizes before making my choice.
  17. Selling this pair of Lvc 1937 501xx in a size 34x34 New old stock from February 2003, which l guess makes them vintage (?) The 1937 501xx took over from the 1937 '201xx' (which was made between 1996 and 1999). The first 1937 501xx were first manufactured at the Valencia Street factory in 2002, just before the factory closed for good (these would've had 555 stamped on the buttons). These are the next gen 37's made at the Taylor Toggs plant in 2003 (they have 643M stamped on the waist button). They are in an unwashed and unworn condition, only being briefly tried on a few times. They still have some cotton left on the waistband where the label was and also some reddish lines at the bottom of the side stich - this will come out after a wash as it's only tailor's chalk. I've had this on other pairs from this era with similar marks so no worries. The size is 34 x 34 but as with any item of clothing, please look at the measurements and remember that they are shrink to fit so will probably end up around 33x31.5 after numerous washes. Measurements are as follows- - Waist across = 42cm/16.5" Inseam = 81cm/32" (the high rise makes them a 34) Front rise = 33cm/13" Back rise = 42.5cm/16.75" Thigh (from crotch) = 32.5cm/12.75" Hem across = 24cm/9.5" These 37's are a tad darker when compared with later models made outside the USA, this could be the Cone denim used. Price £250 which includes free worldwide shipping and insurance.
  18. Thanks mate, just wondered as the fella from Hoosier said the 42 model is wider on the waist and suggested moving down a size from my usual 601xx 47's, which were a size 33. I used to have some size 32 47s but they became too tight so am just curious as don't want to mess up. The guy from Hoosier said he'd pre-order me a pair of size 32 and 33 in non-wash and then go from there (?)
  19. @Broark @MJF9 are either of you guys ordering the upcoming 1942 model? Just wondered if you were going with your usual size.
  20. Not made in USA though @shredwin_206 ?
  21. Curious, what size did you go for in the end?
  22. Some random late 1930's Levi and Lee cowboy pics, stolen from the workwearyears on lg -
