  1. Yeah Battlefront as a FPS wouldn't all that much fun. Personal shield + jetpack + health regen makes it a little ridiculous. The dropzone level I didn't think was all that much fun.

I think it really comes into its own on a level like Hoth, where its more of an objective based battle than a skill-based shooter. Working together as the rebels to hold uplinks and take out the walker is cool, and wiping out rebels in AT-ATs or AT-STs feels pretty good. Air combat is neat, but pretty one-dimensional.

Eh, Ill probably buy it and see how it turns out. There are definitely a ton of tweaks that need to be made, but seems fun enough to warrant buying. I dont know if I can stand to buy another CoD, so this can fill that void.

  2. I haven't enjoyed an episode of South Park in a while. I feel like it should just end so it doesn't turn into a Simpsons. Trey and Matt can obviously do a lot of other projects that would be more interesting at this point.

Still enjoy Last Man on Earth and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Casual was alright, but felt very generic. Muppets is OK.

  3. Anyone ever had their account closed by paypal? They sent me an email saying they were closing it because I violated one of their policies. Called them and they couldn't tell me anything because of compliance or something.

No, but I had my Ebay account closed for seemingly no reason as well. I called to ask why and they told me they it was against their policy to say why it was closed. It felt pretty Kafkaesque, but I don't really use Ebay much anyway.

  4. Just finished Witcher 3. It's a really great and definitely the best looking game I've ever played, but I just didn't find it that compelling. Enjoyed playing through, but I didn't really feel challenged or engaged in the game play. Even towards the end I just hacked my way through the final bosses easily on the hardest difficulty.

Kind of felt like I was casually playing through a long collection of cut-scenes, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Interesting contrast to Bloodborne at least.

  5. I think it would be great if just before any of the plot threads are finally tied up and anything is resolved the white walkers come and just kill everyone.

Show at his point feels pretty fatigued. Its become less interesting episode to episode and is really all driven on plots that get don't really show any signs of being resolved soon. Hopefully there is some great stuff planned for the next books that ties it all together nicely.

  6. Obviously David Lee needs more time and Barnes less.I wouldn't mind seeing last years starting 5 for game 4

Would be interested to see more minutes from Lee next game. Not sure why they pulled him so early in game 3 when he was one of the only players who was having a positive impact.

Draymond has looked completely lost on offense all series. Nobody respects his shot from behind the line (which he hasn't been hitting) and Mozgov sits under the hoop and has prevented him from getting to the hoop. His ineffectiveness on the Pick and Roll is a reason it would be great to see Lee get in since he is good at rolling to the rim and finishing. Still did't see the defensive intensity from Lee.

Cavs have figured (like the Grizzlies did) to put bodies all over Curry and Thompson and double Curry when he has the ball and let the rest of the team beat you. Just need to be better at moving the ball and desperately need Barnes, Livingston, Iggy, Green, anyone to start getting some offense. Once we get some easy points things will open up again and I think we can expect to see the Warriors offense reemerge. Cavs have been playing with an incredible hustle, but they just aren't and haven't been one of the toughest defenses, we just have to get our game going.

Anyway, just frustrating to play so well all season and playoffs and then lose focus and confidence when it matters most. If Lebron pulls this off the Lebron hero narrative is just going to be suffocating. That being said his performance has been incredible. Tough to be on the receiving end.

  7. Yeah the game is great and really gorgeous, so I'm really just nitpicking. Combat can be clunky but it looks really cool so there's that. Really enjoy exploring and the world. Yeah I get a little frustrated too when the quests are "go here talk to this person and find this" and full of long cut-scenes and dialogues when really I just want to cut bad guys' heads off.

  8. I've really been enjoying Wild Hunt and exploring the game, there are a couple of things that annoy me about the game though. Movement can be pretty awkward although I've gotten used to it, but the combat seems pretty broken. Constantly keep Quen up and I can completely avoid taking damage and Igni pretty much destroys everything with little effort. I really don't see any reason to block or parry as I can just dodge and roll and take care of enemies with fast attack and signs so quickly.

Game is still a lot of fun, but I think I've been a little spoiled with Bloodborne where the combat seemed really tight and challenging.

  9. GoT has been pretty weak. It seems like wherever the series veers off from the books the plot really begins to suffer. The part in Dorne with the Sand Snakes was so lame, which is disappointing because they seemed like really interesting characters in the books.

  10. Be sure to stay under him and just keep whacking him with Ludwig's Holy Sword

Finally beat Ebriatas after like 10 tries. Wasted so much insight trying to do co-op. Got co-op going for once then I fucking died when I got her bar almost to zero. Ended up beating her by myself.

A Tonitrus +8 with the Bolt bloodgem has got to be my strongest weapon in the game.

Have the Tonitrus now at +8, not sure why anyone would use anything else. Its a lot more powerful than my Holy Blade at the same level and its one-handed and much faster. I would like to use other weapons, but really nothing else compares unless Im looking for something with more range.

On One Reborn now. Doesn't seem like a hard boss, but he keeps wrecking me by throwing corpses at me while I try to take care of the mages. Have lasted like 20 seconds so far.

  11. Shit, you're right. Only console was capped to 32 players. Still, I don't think it's that bad of a thing to have a 40 player cap. Maybe I''m just being an apologetic dice fanboy, but I still think the game will work with as just 20v20. Sure, maps like Hoth might be a little barren, but at the same time 64 players on a map like Bespin platforms will just turn into a huge mess like Operation Metro in BF3.

It also looks like offline bots were just confirmed, so that's great. Definitely a good throwback to the first games.

Yeah I'm okay with 20 vs. 20 cap. If that's what the max of what they determined they can handle, I'd prefer them to get that right instead of having a poor experience with something bigger. I'm sure there will be a AI bots as well. What made the original Battlefront games interesting is that it had the big battle feel of Star Wars. 20 on 20 skirmishes really aren't the same thing. Maybe space battles can be a DLC.

Anyway its still really early, so I look forward to EA finding a way to screw it up sometime in the future.

Can't you only get Ludwig's Holy Sword after you defeat the Blood Starved Beast though?

  13. I've seen a lot of souls veterans this and souls virgin that but idk the game doesn't seem THAT hard to me

I ain't play any of the souls games before. Took me about 2 hours to beat the first 2 bosses. I'm at One Reborn right now

    I don't really get mad either ...

At the beginning  just used axe tho and spun on fools then after blood starved I got ludwigs

Like it took you just 2 hours to get past the Cleric Beast and Father G or it took you 2 hours each to beat both those bosses? If the first, then damn you're much better than I am at this game. Took me way too many tries to beat the Cleric Beast and I struggled with the final form of Father G for a while.

I'm totally new to these Souls game so it was pretty frustrating at first, but now I really enjoy the game. Some of the boss fights can be really painful, but its a fun challenge. Any tips on the Blood Starved Beast?

  14. if you're looking for something casual than gtav is definitely worth it, the online is a lot better now than it used to be they tweaked a lot of things for the better...and heists are really fun if you've got 3 other people you know to play with. doing heists with randoms is cool too, but not anywhere near as fun. single player in first person is also really dope.

but bloodborne is also a really good game! i do have to say it's more casual friendly than ds or ds2, i feel like i'm playing on easy mode after putting so many hours into those two games before playing this. it's a lot more forgiving in a lot of aspects but it still has ways of punishing non thinking players. i haven't tried the pvp yet tho so...

other than that, 3 good games for playing with friends would be bf:hardline, dying light, and destiny. i only bought those and play them because of my coworkers, i wouldn't recommend them unless you're going to be playing with people you know.

So I picked up Bloodborne last night to see what all the hype was about and because I had a $50 gift card from Target when I bought my PS4. I played about 2 hours last night and died a ton of times. Will probably need a day or two to really figure out the combat and how to play before deciding if I really like the game. Seems fun, but it is really easy to mess up slightly and end up having to repeat the same parts over and over...

  15. Who the hell would direct it without Mark Frost and David Lynch? You really can't do the show without them, Twin Peaks already barely makes any sense as it is. Disappointing. It would be great if someone with money picked up the show with the creators attached.

  16. Brooklyn Nine-nine is good. It's not great at all, but its fun to watch.

Never watched the last season of The Sopranos because I got busy and moved last year, so I'm going to try to jump back in now.

New season of Trailer Park Boys is not very good.

  17. Whats worth playing on the PS4 these days? Just picked mine up and I have The Last of Us and CoD: AW right now. Thinking about getting GTAV over the weekend. Bloodborne looks cool, but it also looks like it wouldn't work for me since I don't have a ton of time to play and the game does not look casual friendly.
