illumin8em - you are wearing too big a boot (or the strap is too loose if this occurs).
deluxestyling - got em' back and they fit after the second stretching! f***k yes! Now, to decide whether I want to leave them brown
or dye them black? I think I'll leave em' brown for a while and then decide later one.

A boot jack may work for getting the boot off, but not on. We'll see later today after the second round of stretching.

Who the hell is Bill? You mean "marineabilly"? His name is John....LOL!!! Yeah, the boots went up in cost due to some materials issue, production cost and taxes I'm sure...they are pretty spectacular though!

Sadly, RRL sold these to the secondary market without regard for the seller/buyer in this market.

First round of stretching didn't work as the cobbler stretched the instep and not the shaft. Waiting on the second round. The right boot fit when I tried them the other day. The left would not go on at all. Sorry, but these boots are what I would call "irregular" or "defective". Maybe that's why Julian was dropped? I'll just have to wait and see what happens after this round.

I got a pair of the oddly sized brown ones on eBay for a steal...could barely get the right foot on and actually mildly sprained my left foot getting it into the boot. That said, once they were on, there were actually loose in the foot area (vs. the shaft). Two things at play here...the shaft is tapered too much and the leather is too thick. Great, use whatever thickness you want on a lace up boot, but if the leather is too thick it will not stretch and allow your foot to pass by the heel cup and instep.
Mine are at a cobbler getting stretched right now...I'll be able to try them on tomorrow and see if they are going to fit better. If not, more stretching! BTW, I may dye mine black...I've done a few pairs for friends and so far they've turned out quite nicely.

I've only been to Ross once, but the impression I got was they have no clue what's in their stores...just saying.
Damn, called the Ross stores near by (if 100 miles away can be considered near by) and no one has them in stock.

Put a little soap or candle wax on the zipper...will help you get it moving.
Anyone looking for a sweet deal on LVC?
Check out your local ROSS stores for various pairs of irregular LVC.
I went to 8 different locations in Arizona and picked up 6 pairs all at $22.99 a pair.
They are all pre-disstressed versions of 501's;1947, 1954z, 1955 and picked up 2 pairs of 1967 505s.
The only defect i could spot was a "sticky" zipper on the 1954z. It was just tuff to pull up and down.
@ $22.99 they are a steal!
Happy Hunting
edit: just picked up a raw pair of 1927 501's too (but in a big size 38x36....looking for a 30 to 32 inch waist)

The bag....another thing women have absconded from men over the years. What did women need a bag for 300 years ago when they never left the house, didn't have money and didn't wear makeup?
(Disclaimer - this post is intended to be purely sarcasm, people who take it literally and overreact need to get a life).
Come on, that's a girls' bag! Give it to your wife or daughter or even swap it with your gran's tartan shopping trolley!

Cowboy style...jacket doesn't bunch when sitting.
I've noticed a lot of jean jackets being worn without the bottom button buttoned... Why is that?

The fit reminds me of the Lee Cowboy in the length...one of the reasons I wanted one. Looks great Switch!
So, I have the feeling that the ranch blouse runs a little long in the arms and torso, but nevertheless I found a way through it and I am loving this jacket.

Alpha - cheap price = cheap quality. I have one of their newer N-3B jackets and it was Ok, but not great. I picked up a real one in a trade for under $100 a few weeks ago, so out the door it's gonna go!
