He probably meant "hard to break in." Eternal denim does seem tougher to fade than average (its characteristics are pretty similar to Flat Head's denim) but it seems to vary wildly from person to person.
i actually find it pretty easy to break in, compared to say LVC or sugar cane.. not to mention the jean's ability to hold lines and shape

is it true that eternal is one of denim that hard to break?
thx
no, mine tore after 2 years in multiple places

for hemming services, would we be able to request a post soak inseam measurement rather than trying to guess how much the jeans are going to shrink?

would be great to get some RAW vs one wash measurements to gauge how the jeans would stretch

just threw mine in the washer for the first machine wash.. it's just too filthy from the trip back to Hong Kong.. Wanna see if there's actually any additional progress made since the last pics, if so, I might need to revise my final submission
I have officially retired them last week as the holes in the crotch are really getting out of hand.. until they get repaired, they'll be out of commission.

i'd have to agree, myself a "non-contributing participant" so to speak, but i really just think sufu is in decline, not necessarily the fault of any contest or over saturation...those who do participate, and do follow through to the end however have KILLED it!
i noticed that it started its decline since the huge update and the change of the rep system..

so whats the word on the final submission procedure and requirement?

nice post.. great update.. loving the grain and texture of the jeans
btw.. hey beatle.. since theres only a month left in the contest, any idea what the low down is for the final submission? do we just post or send to Gordon? time frame?
on 12.12.12, I'll be opening this bottle of Stone Vertical Epic which coincides with the start and end date of this contest.. I'm sure the beer has aged nicely, just like the jeans...

I still believe the jeans have somehow plateaued, and that is the reason why my last update was about half a year ago..
over this half a year, I have only washed it once. It faded a bit more but it's very different than the first year.
I see this last year as a refining stage if there's actually such a thing. And yes, they're falling apart everywhere.
