Hi all, thought I'd see if there was any interest here for a couple of pairs of Ande's jeans I'm moving on. We're moving house and I'm looking to free up some space and some pennies. Im keeping a coupe of pairs ad my wolf jacket but I have a pair of mustangs and a pair of cougar both 30 x 30 in the same denim as Ande made his jackets from. Can't remember the mill it came from I'm afraid but I'm sure somebody here will know?
Pretty well worn but life in them yet. Give me a shout if these would be of interest to anyone?
Links to the two pairs now up on ebay if anyone's interested...

Ha, thanks... that's five years of these only being used for decorating in after they were technically retired!

@The Clerk has a well worn pair of Roy x Cone comp jeans that I’m sure he could be persuaded to let go for a fair price -
In todays market they'd be about £2000, right ?
Well worn? These are just getting started...

Agreed, it would be tiny for a 44.
But it's not big for me in in terms of my being a 44 and it not fitting. It's big for me in that I compared the sizing to a jacket that fits well across the chest but as the shoulder measurement is bigger the overall fit is too big. The sort of thing you don't know until you have actually bought a jacket, shrunk it and worm it.2 -

After a couple more wears I have decided that this Cat Boy jacket is just a little big for me. Anyone wanna take it off my hands?
Size 44 purchased from American Classics in London. Currently sold out at TCB. Measurements are pretty much as on the TCB siteChest 56cm
Shoulder 43cm
Sleeve 63cm
Length 64cmLet me know if you want more details

No they weren't, it was a bit bigger. But since taking this photo I decided to machine wash. This is something that I swore I would never do since I first got a pair of raw LVC nearly twenty years ago, washed them and the result wash a harsh fade from a fold in the machine running diagonally down the leg. I honestly don't know how anyone can wash raw denim in the machine when it is always a gamble that this would happen.
Anyway, in this instance it has worked without ruining the jacket and it has now shrunk to much closer to the measurements TCB give on their site and so I think I'm gonna keep it now. Sorry CSL. It would have been an expensive trade for me having purchased from American Classics, but only able to sell o at less than the direct from TCB price.

Having been so impressed with the Cat Boy denim I picked up a jacket from American classics as they're out of stock in Japan. Turns out after a soak a 44 is too big for me. Lovely jacket though.
Not sure what the rules are with regards to sales posts, but if anyone want to take it off my hands please give me a shout.

Does beg the question, how much shrinkage does an industrial washing process create compared with my bath tube home washing...? Guess there is only one way to find out

Ah yes, that makes sense!

Yes I think that's right, different stock for sure. Just wondering how much the rigid ones will shrink?

Morning all,
Question about the cat boy jackets. They are listed are listed as one wash on the TCB shoplift site but American Classics has stock listed as rigid, shrink to fit. Anyone know how much shrinkage to expect from the rigid jacket please?0 -

So that's me, @Wasim @Kit Carruthers
@The Clerk, @Double 0 Soul (if he can get his summer house back), all in Brighton (and Hove, actually).
Pretty sure @MJF9 is down the road as well.I propose a catch-up is in order. Beer or coffee etc, When we're not all house bound. Maybe we can get the weekenders to visit from London as well?
I alwaysknew people in Brighton were cool. This just confirms it
I'm up for a meet up when this crazy lockdown shit is over. Damn I miss real people. And pubs!
Sorry, literally the first time I have seen this as I haven't loved on for months... Not that the sentiment doesn't stand!

Hi,
Anyone got any thoughts on the 30s jacket vs the Cat Boy jacket please?

Hello all,
Hope everyone is keeping safe and well?
Not posted anything fr a while but as we are in lockdown I have been going through some old photos and found a couple that may be of interest to you guys. Back in autumn '18 when I was looking at getting some lvc as part of the blackwednesdaycyberyaforcapitalismweekpromotion thing (whatever that is called) I said to my partner Sarah that it was imperative that I got some of the last Cone Mills denim as they were a piece of denim history. Sarah's response to this was that she needed some new jeans too. After having a good examination of some of my pairs dating back 15 years or so, she settled on a pair of 33s.So here she is in her recently fresh 33s

Maybe I'll stick with a second pair of '55s and just taper the leg a little. Get a button fly and keep the legendary denim.

Yeah, might well do that. Though I'm tempted by a 54 for a slightly narrower fit, if I can put u with the zip.... Is it pretty much the same denim?

Actually scrub that. I now I'm not quite at my fighting weight at the moment, but the 30" pair are snug in the waist and that's before a soak... They may have to go back
