  1. Equally shameless plug:

The shirt below is for sale in Supermarket... follow the link in my sig. As for sizing, it will fit someone between 6' and 6'4", who weighs less than 200 lbs (180 would be ideal).

  2. I may be way behind the curve but...

    http://www.rivbike.com/products/show/railroad-shirt/21-120

looks like a solid shirt for 58 bucks. Made in the USA

I agree, looks good maybe. Not crazy about the outside tag at the hip, but it's probably removable. Made in US is a big plus, especially for the price. If you get one, plz post pics, it'd probably convince a few more of us to try them...

Their use of the word 'embiggen' is also likable... it's a perfectly crumulent word, after all.

  3. +rep to spackadam... the fact that it's probably forbidden under penalty of death kind of makes it hotter. Although with several white people in the background, they may just be in the U.S... it's nice either way.

  4. Picked up this deadstock 101J on eBay a few weeks back. Been looking for one in my size (46 long) forever and this finally came up... my guess is mid/late '70s, but if anyone could narrow it down further, I'd appreciate it. There's no selvedge visible, and I know this is a slightly newer label, but it fits great, so I'm pretty happy.

I'm considering a cold-soak just to get any shrinkage out of the way -- does anyone know if these are sanforized?

  5. 7) Made-to-Measure Chambray Shirt -- Large (long) -- $80

Bought this through the SF group buy organized last fall by zissou through his tailor, Nathan. He initially made my shirt smaller than the measurements I sent, so he made me a second shirt that fits, but let me keep the first, which has just been sitting in my closet since. It's way too tight in the chest for me, and it will fit someone between 6' and 6'4", and who weighs less than 200 lbs (180 would be ideal). The quality and construction are excellent, easily comparable to Engineered Garments. Fabric is nice and soft, a lightweight denim, with a slight sheen to it. Please check measurements carefully, as it's very long and slim. Shirt cost $180, so you'll be getting a good deal if the measurements work for you.

    Measurements:

    Shoulders: 20.5"

    Pit-to-pit: 21.5"

    Sleeves: 28.5"

    Length: 33.5"

    9) Miu Miu Jean Jacket -- XL -- $25

Blue/green jean jacket with copper buttons -- this is a slim-fitting jacket, similar style to original Lee jean jackets, but it's shorter in length, and the denim is very unique -- a blue/green warp and magenta weft, for an almost translucent color when viewed up close (but imperceptible from further away/at night).

Purchased about 3 years ago from Barney's (retail was $350), and worn just once or twice, so the condition is about 9.5/10. Looks unworn. I've lost the tags, but I do still have the extra 2 copper buttons it came with.

    Measurements:

    Shoulders -- 19.5"

    Pit-to-pit -- 24.5"

    Length -- 22.5''

    Sleeve Length -- 27.5''

    10) Vintage Polo RL Leather Varsity -- Large -- $60

I've had this for a while, I just never wear it more than once a year. Color is not quite as blue as in the first photo. A little more accurate in the 2nd. No major scratches or cuts in the leather, just minor wear (last photo shows this up close), and some fuzzies on the wool parts. Lining is a very soft red, flannel-like material. It's in very nice condition, I'd say an 8.5/10.

    Shoulders: approx. 20"

    Pit-to-pit: 25.5"

    Sleeves: approx. 28"

    11) Vintage Niedieck green velvet blazer -- 42 reg. -- $35

Had this since high school, the label is German and I don't think it's anything special, but the quality is still quite good. Nylon lined, but the velvet itself, and construction is on par with a Paul Smith velvet blazer I have.

    Measurements:

    Shoulders: 18"

    Pit-to-pit: 21"

    Sleeves: 25.5"

    12) Dries Van Noten Pea Coat -- Large -- $250

Bought at Selfridges in London maybe five years ago (retail was over $1000), I absolutely love this coat, and it kills me to sell it, but I've outgrown it -- chest and shoulders are just too tight on me :fu:. I wore it a decent amount, but it's still in excellent condition, I'd say a 9/10. Quality and construction are superb. No drops on this, I'll leave it in the closet until fall.

    Shoulders: 18.75"

    Pit-to-pit: 22"

    13) 'Hugo' Hugo Boss v-neck sweater -- M -- $20

Had this in high school when I was a 175 lb. waif... It's made in Italy, and very soft wool. Still in very good condition, I'd say an 8.5 or 9/10.

    Measurements:

    Shoulders: 19"

    Pit-to-pit: 21.5"
