  1. Not sure-- haven't been counting tbh. I would say at least 10 times through the washer and dryer, with increased frequency as the weather has gotten hotter. I don't give my jeans much thought re: laundry anymore except I keep lighter clothes out of the mix and unless they're teetering on shrinking beyond the scope of my fat ass.

    Looking good. how many washes?

  2. breaking in some DW 332s. they are reminiscent of the 660s. i think these are my favorite fitting jeans so far. you can't beat the price right now, either. sorry for the shitty phone pics. someday-- when i have nothing better to do than post pics on a forum dedicated to jeans-- I'll try to fish out my 1100 and 660 to compare the denim.

  3. Im a few days behind but will i still be able to partake in the contest? I just bought these today from Selfedge LA

it's beatle's call, but fwiw i don't mind, as long as people "post" their commitment. def send a private message, though.

i was just showing my astonishment that you could actually hear one single thread/yarn/stitch break/blow/... in a crowded stadium, i guess!

    srsly

a crude representation, but you get the idea. when you can't get out of either end of the aisle, you gotta stretch!

the indigo sheds constantly on these-- i've been wearing 'em 3-4 times a week, a few hours at a time. i think things should start to get interesting quite soon, however. they'll be hitting the wash soon. shout out to william aka rodeo bill and tender. about to grease up this patch with some tallow.

  4. nothing really new to report here, but hopefully a bump will inspire those lurking in the shadows to post.

went to see my blazers play the pistons (and lose)

in the process of stepping and stretching up an aisle after we got busted for "upgrading" our seats, i immediately heard some threads start to blow. oops. not too bad, thankfully.

i've been using this wallet for ages now, but it used to be a natural waxed canvas, now indigo from being the goto wallet for breaking in jeans.

the jeans are still bleeding quite a bit, and some fading is starting to happen. not sure what to expect here, but i'm stoked to see what transpires. i'll post some detailed pics in a week or two.

  5. Since there's not "Fat as Fuck World Tour" going on, I figured I'd jump on this train; it's an honor to share contest space with the incomparable Beatle, to whom we will all eventually lose. First pair of SGs (I'm in it for the free bag). Went to SE PDX to see my buds TMadd and Jonathan. They concluded that while the 36s fit fine, there was not enough thigh room to work with once they hit water. So, in an embarrassing turn of events, I've sized up to a size 38. What. The. Hell. You can't see it in the pics (my bad), but the waist is super wide. Currently hot soaking the shit out of them.

    pre-soak:

    waist: 19.5

    thigh: 13.25

    rise: 11

    inseam: 32

    leg opening: 8

    5) Levi's Vintage Clothing 1920's Two-Pocket Sunset Shirt. New, but needs some sewing to repair (see photo), hence the deep discount. If you don't want to pay your local tailor to do it, I will, although I'd rather not (If you can't tell already, I have too many clothes).

    P2P: 22

    Shoulder: 18

    Length: 30

    6) Mister Freedom Sweat Shorts. Purchased at a sample sale awhile ago, these sweats are made from vintage 50s and 60s cotton sweatpants, both pieces are definitely rare and one-of-a-kind. I confirmed that these were the real deal (PM me for details, no pimping out names here). They have no pockets, so really they're laid back and perfect for lounging around, kickin' it, or working out. Tried my best to measure these, but they're sweatpants-- they have elastic waistbands with drawstrings, so you can let ‘em loose or tie 'em up.

    Grey:

    Waist: 18

    Inseam: 16.5

    Leg Opening: 10

    2) Kapital Indigo Egyptian Twill M-65 Jacket. Worn sparingly and is in excellent condition. I love this jacket, but I've not had many occasions to wear it b/c I have too many jackets in the rotation. Google this jacket for more info and pics. It's a work of art. SOLD

    3) Heller's Cafe by Warehouse x J.Crew Lion Pant Mastered. Memphis cotton. From Larry McKaughan's personal archive and designed by Warehouse, these are based on a pair of 1920s blues from the now-defunct workwear label Lion brand. Finished with details typical of WWI-era U.S. Army pants, these sport single-needle stitching, two back pockets and a hand-finished master wash.

  8. Would love to see more folks on this train. Like aho, I don't know how long I can wear these once other commitments (Devis contest) begin. I'm trying to give them a good run, though. With one soak, I have noticed similar marbling of color, but not to the degree of "crinkliness". Keep in mind it's quite hairy, like a 60s model (pun intended).

    WH Sunday.

  9. Yes, they are willing to ship overseas-- you have to fill out a form and then they'll contact you. I tried to locate a sweatshirt I wanted in my size and they emailed me a few days later with the bad news. (However, it showed up on the Hickorees website a few days later so it all worked out.)

Aho, amazing compare pics. Your collection is bangin'.
