Do you think you could show me your routine if it's not too much trouble?
Oh, okay. I'm wrestling next season and I thought crossfit would be a good option. I was also looking into the military so I thought it would help. People actually do crossfit and go to the gym at the same time? Crossfit gyms are expensive as fuck down here as it is haha.

I was really looking into to BTT and babalu is literally down my street but the place seems really small if that matters. I haven't heard of conde koma, I'll have to look into that. Thanks

Okay, gotcha. Anyone advice on a push/pull routine for 5x-6x a week? and any opinions on crossfit?
edit: and I'm in college right now so it's hard to get a lot of calories from the shitty dorm food. Anyone have any recommendations on food I can get from a grocery store that doesn't really require cooking and has a good amount of calories and protein and such? I can't cook for shit

How about a push/pull routine? Would that be better? If so, can I have an example of one? and is it okay if I do push/pull/push/pull/push/pull for a total of 6x a week? Thanks for all the info

Would that be a good school to go to?

So like a rack pull?
I actually have the SS book. Would you recommend me doing it? Would I be gaining a lot of mass?
edit: I also do a lot of swimming if that matters

I do a split right now of back/bi's, chest/tri's, legs, shoulders/traps, and then, sometimes a full body day and an arms day. I haven't been working out that long but I see progress but was wondering if maybe I should switch to a routine similar to SS? My gym sucks and I can't do deadlifts and it's small. Basically, should I continue with this split or do a different routine based more on strength? What would a good set/rep count be? I also probably don't get enough calories if that makes a difference but I do take mass gainer and soon creatine.

Yeah, there are a couple gracie schools. Sebral trains at the gracie in cerritos and I think there are a couple others.

I always laugh when Americans complain about a 30 minutes drive to bjj. I used to travel over an hour for mine, and people in the UK often travel further.
Poor college student and there are bbj places nearer :/ and 4 runner plus gas equals anal rape

around 30 minute drive :/
I'm more around from the Long Beach area if you have any recommendations. Thanks

That's a long drive :/ and would get pricey going at least 4x a week.

Damn, that last pic. I've always wanted to see that in real life.

I've smoked a lot of pot in both because I've lived in both, and I wouldn't say socal is any shitter than the bay area.

Could almost cop a pound with that in cali lolol.

Most likely BJJ, then. I really enjoyed wrestling and bjj isnt the same, but Ill probably enjoy it

Well, I think I could fit one in for sure. I was just thinking maybe taking one for now would better to get better in one than not as good in both at the same time. I would probably cut down the lifting and swimming to not as much. BJJ compared to muay thai as in the workout/conditioning does not look as hard to me.
As of right now, I lift like 6x a week and swim 3 or 4x and week and I wouldn't mind cutting down.
Anyone have recommendations in BJJ or muay thai schools? There's a gracie by my house that renato sobral owns or BTT in Long Beach has a good reputation. For Muay Thai, I was thinking OC Muay Thai. There's always bodyshop fitness owned by antonio mkcee but I would rather not go there.

I need some input, please. So I'm looking to do a martial art when I get home from college and was looking at muay thai or bjj. I wrestled in high school for a little bit and the competetive aspect of bjj, as in competions and such, is appealing. Im not sure how it is in muay thai, but Im also very interested in doing that as well because of the striking aspect and the conditiong seems different from bjj. Im not completely sure about the opinions im giving so itd be cool if some of you guys could shed some light. And would doing both at the same time be good, too? I also need time for shit like lifting and swimming. Thanks
and any opinions in places to train in the socal area as in the 562? I was thinking Brazilian Top Team or OC Muay Thai?

I take a lot of random breaks. Sometimes because I don't buy bud for myself or just don't feel like it. It was never really that hard for me to stop stoging or take a weed break. I actually have my card and have been sober for two weeks and it feels kinda good haha. I even roll blunts/light blunts for people and shit like that and not even hit it or stay in the car when people hot box lol

Forsure, thanks. After I think about it, I forgot about the school's gym haha. I'll probably be able to mix in some heavy lifting days. I just need to switch from current split to a push/pull but I don't know how I would go about putting together a routine.
edit: any opinions on a full body M, W, F, Su? something like
squats
bench press/or dumbbell press
rows on smith machine- bad idea?
military press
deadlifts- or switch out with rows every other week?
accessory:
dips
chin ups/pull ups
skull crushers
incline dumbell press
All help is appreciated. I'm a total noob. Not sure about sets/reps
