Flamepandas appeared all of a sudden on my doorstep after 2 weeks of untraceable tracking. As usual, Peng’s work is impeccable.
This is my first experience with shinki horsehide and I must say that is it a thing of beauty. The olive horsehide has a range of tones and colours depending on which angle you look at it. Under full sunlight it goes to a brownish tone. Swapped out the round laces peng provided with a flat one that he included for a more informal look. One of my best fitting shoes out of the box. Small pinch on my right foot pinkie as usual with most shoes i wear. Sized half down from my previous short engineers I had from him because these are laced. Overall, super impressed with his work. Probably not the last from him.
oh yes. He also included a super heavy duty natural leather belt with some heavy character on the under side.

Any experience with Noriei? https://noriei.jp/
Some really handsome looking makeups—seems like a similar aesthetic to MOTO
These are interesting!

Redmoon shell cordovan short wallet. Bought about 10 years ago when shell cordovan still was not that crazy expensive. I have been “babying” it quite a bit. Unfortunately, scratches on the leather is due to it being run over by a car when I left it on top of the car hood and drove off. Interior of the wallet is still quite pristine and close to original colour.

Not sure if these sneakers qualify as shoes that look better with age. But here it is. Visvim’s first iteration of the joggers in light brown horween horsehide. Bought them nearly new, probably worn once or twice. Have been wearing them at least twice a week for 2 months. The leather is a brown colour with some reddish undertones. Pictures below.

Hi everyone,
An update on my flamepanda aka Peng’s short shift engineers. They were unsealed and untreated natural horsehide, and they attracted dirt like magnets. They were glorious to look at when they were new, but I would not consider the dirt and wear they picked up as ‘patina’. Did not really like how they aged.
So I got caught in a huge thunderstorm recently wearing these boots. Being the leather they were, they soaked up the water like a sponge. After air drying for a few days, they still were darker than the original colour. So I decided why not, and just decided to clean and condition them, accepting that they probably would not get back to their original colour. After some conditioner and wax, these are what they look like now. I kind of like how they look, and you can see the marks and nicks that was inflicted on the boots.

Not sure how you guys think of Visvim, these come from the FW12 collection. Made from Horween bison if I’m not wrong. Got these during the 11.11 sale on Rakuten and had a 10% off. These came with full of pet’s hair and scuffs. Gave them a good clean and conditioning and they look great and well worn in already. The sole looks like they can go on for another few years before a resole.

Finally got a chance to take photos of flamepanda’s boot in natural light. The texture of the raw horsehide is insane. The leather has an almost velvety texture that you can see the knap when you run your finger across it. You can also see the imperfections on the horsehide, which is a plus point for me. Flamepanda did a superb job with the norvegese stitch. Very clean job on the mid soles, which I have also used some boot wax to polish up. Last photo is a comparison with my natural horsehide RDT Roots after on-off ~6 months of wear. The RDTs has darkened up quite a bit. Didn’t notice until the comparison shot

These look amazing. I'm on his waiting list for a pair of boots right now. Ordered them a few months ago. I'd be interested in knowing how he sized these for you. We've discussed leather and style, sole, etc. But haven't done the sizing yet.
I sure hope they fit well! I gave him information on the shoe sizes of the other various brands such as Viberg, Alden etc...

yay, great jeans, as we recently discussed, nice catch! Are they NWT and were therefore rinsed?
My recollection is that all the repros were, but could be wrong.Yea. They are NWT. Tagged as “Broken Raw”. Some whiskering on the hip and knee areas, however they do seem that they might still have some more shrinkage left in them.
