Yeah, I'll try to get there tonight to have a look, but if not then over the weekend.

I'm looking for some basics with dick flaps. Something like the OV tanks. Anyone got a spot to pick these, or something similar, up cheap?

They should have shearling there in Waterloo. That's where CoN got their shearling from the last collection.

Just send it registered international post. It is still 'tracked' but it doesn't allow you to view the entire process online (depending on desitination country). It is reasonably quick and very reliable.
Of course this depends on the weight of the item you're shipping. If it gets up to a certain weight it is just as cost effective to send EMS.
The easiest thing to do is take your item to the counter at the post office and ask them to tell you all the options and prices.

Zara had some nice ties. Didn't check the price but they looked good.

Just finished setting up the Lost & Found installation for Parable:
If anyone is around Town Hall stop in and take a look. All the clothing is from the current SS collection.

I'm in for sure.

I had a quick look through (god bless men and their efficient shopping techniques; the downstairs was a mess). Nothing really took my fancy except the long high-collar coat, reminiscent of the CCP high-collar. Unfortunately most of the work shirts had spread collars, which I don't like.

Did you see the herald write up?
"..a tan leather biker jacket softly draped in the manner of American designer Rick Owens."
I'm going to go check it out tonight, wouldn't mind some cheap shirts for work.

Having seen that guy's SILENT buying service on the supermarket I thought I would offer the same thing:
Parable will be stocking SILENT for AW11 onwards, so if you are interested in pre-ordering any pieces at a discounted rate and would like to support a new Australian boutique send me a PM and I will send you the line sheet and prices.

That would be nice, though I'm not holding my breath! When is 2010 expected to start arriving? I would be interested to see if they are getting the classic scarstitch. If I can sell my 46 I would like to buy a 48, especially if their prices are more aligned to europe's.

That satchel bag looks nice. The leather looks quite 'dry', as if it would crack and wear easily. Have you handled anything similar to it and can comment on the leather?

IC: Carol Christian Poell Scarstitch Leather - 2008 reissue [46]
Object dyed, lined scarstitched leather jacket in Black, size 46.
FORM: LM/2398
MAT/COL: VIT-PTC/1010
Shoulder to Shoulder: 16" (approx.)
Pit to Pit: 19.5"
Sleeve: 26"
I've owned this for a few months now, and due to weather have only just started to be able to wear it. It is starting to soften up through the shoulders but has a lot more breaking in to do. Unfortunately I'm finding it to be a little too restrictive, even for CCP. So I would consider trades for one in a size 48.
the KALB version on Darklands is going for 4172EUR

How grey was it? It looks quite dark in the pictures.

Yeah, opening in July on Clarence Street. I will make a more formal announcement soon, but we are beinging with northern hemisphere AW11 and are stocking Lost & Found, Lumen et Umbra, Incarnation, Aleksandr White, Silent and Werkstatt:Munchen.
Things are taking shape and it is promising to be an exciting launch. And we will hopefully have some exciting news for the following season.

Hmmm. I have a VIT-PTC in the style from SS08 in size 46 and it fits nicely but is constrictive. I wouldn't mind going for a 48 - perhaps I will go for the bison.
If anyone is interested in a sz 46 let me know.

There are some nice pieces out there:
- arthrosic knee pants at darklands and ink
- parka at PNP
- long blazer at ANY (though I wouldn't pair it with the drop crotch pants)
- bison leather at ANY
- dead end sarouel pants
Have either of you experienced the bison leather in person? How substantial is it?

If it's a single item, such as a coat, you don't have much choice but to declare the value at less than $1000. But of course you then have to worry about insurance.
If it's multiple items, you can split up the items and ship them separately. Some web stores will even ship two shoes separately to avoid tax. Just make sure you leave some time between posting each part because if they arrive at customs together they will simply add the values together.

Is the item being shipped to you? Or are you bringing it back from OS?
