  2. IHxRH-666s 21oz W34 £150 plus P&P from the UK

Bought these earlier this year from Rivet and Hide. Sadly, I can't handle the thigh on these.
Beautiful jeans, worn a couple of times, only indoors, just to try and convince myself I could make these work.
Realised the 634 work best for me.

They're hemmed to 32" on a Union Special by Paul at Rivet and Hide.
Jeans measure same as noted on the Rivet and Hide page:

  3. shorts on final markdown Angus young 50-60 and Magnum PI made out of 70/30 JP Cotton Nylon $70

been wearing the Magnum PIs whenever possible in the UK summer - great cut and material.

  4. /\ Hey thanks, appreciated. A 34 would likely do it based on that. Would that be post wash or with some wear and natural stretch?

I really don't need any more denim but the fact that they are still available.. and the faded samples I've seen .. you know how it is!

That's with some wear and natural stretch. I think they were tigher and are now quite loose and roomy.

I know what you're saying...some things are hard to resist!

  5. Could I get measurements on a pair of MFSC Californian lot 54 in a size 33 and 34 if anyone's wearing them?

    Just saw this^

My W34 '54s measure 171/4" across the waist and feel quite generous in the top block.

the hem is 9". I've had them hemmed and can't remember what the inside leg shrunk to.

  6. ^very nice Paul. I seem to remember reading you say something like 'dirt is the secret to good fades'.

    ^^

I'll post this here as well as in the SMALL QUESTIONS thread, does anybody have direct experience of the Lee Japan 101B Jeans Cinch Back 1934 - Dry? They seem to be very much oversize for something that is supposed to be Sanforized and shrink no more than 3%? Thanks.

    http://www.aeroleatherclothing.com/product-detail.php?id=120

I still have the Edwin/Lee 101B 1934 cinchbacks. They're pretty much oversized and I think mine measure 18" in the waist laid flat even though they're a W34.

At the time I was pleased they'd shrunk but they do tend to stretch out. Depends what kind of fit you want.

The people at Aero (if that's where you're thinking of buying them) are very helpful and will advise.

  7. I'm really pleased to see a size 35 in the Black Marias. (I can't squeeze into some of my 34s these days)

    I've put in a pre-order.

Also, looking forward to taking part in the sweatpants contest!

  8. Wow! Like Double O says, you are good!:)

The tab is dark blue. I bought them from Browns in South Molton Street back in (I'm pretty sure) '98. So, from what you say they will be Orizzonti era, though the inside label is missing. The denim is beautiful.

(Browns had a batch of Denime, which, at the time, I'd never seen before in London. They were selling them cheaper than the other Japanese denim available in town. I snapped up a couple of pairs and these remain. )

    Thanks very much bF.

  9. I wonder if anyone could help me i.d. these Denime (basic) jeans more precisely, please.

The tag inside the back pocket is missing. The label is paper, see photo. The coin pocket isn't selvedge.

I bought them since the late 90s and they no longer fit.I'd like to sell them but dont know the exact model to list.

    Thanks!

  10. hey lance, thanks for resurrecting this thread, its great to have a kato buzz going again.

    the site is http://kato-aaa.jp

and there's a button for online shopping. Discovered it yesterday; I hadn't realised they had such a wide collection.

it looks like 'aaa' is the distinctive 'vintage with a twist' house style.

  11. just looking at the kato japanese site - it looks like they're about £184 with tax (approx $298).

I messaged lewis at superdenim uk about a W34 but they dont have one in stock. however, he says the sizing on the waist of the 36 is 35. (I hadnt seen the post about the thighs etc or would have asked about the cut a bit more.)

Just noticed kato are also doing a cut-off buckleback...always a little bit different!

  12. I was stoked to see superdenim were carrying Kato again. Didn't Neil Fuji leave to start his own design company?

I keep wearing my pair from back in 2008 and really like the denim and the slightly odd cut.I'm tempted by the kato aaa ones, though I cant afford them!

I think theyre a take on levis 66 cut, does anyone know any more?

  13. my '34s didn't shrunk much in the waist and stretch out easily after a wash.

I think they shrunk a little bit in the leg but I've had them hemmed since then so I'm not sure. They certainly have a long inseam, as kimi says.

  14. yup,i know the #43 one is kind interesting but i'm into more dark colour to start with..plus i didnt have #43 sample..i think i'll go with wash and wear ala that mr S though..

    can someone compare #92 vs #43 ?

here's a pic of the 43 and 92 samples laid beside each other - they're quite similar in appearance, 43 on the left. the 92 is perhaps slightly darker.

although they're listed as the same weight, 14oz, the 43 feels heavier.

    16jvyp.jpg

meanwhile, i'm deciding between the 84 and 91...

  15. vn1nir.jpg

    Beautifully made, beautiful 16oz denim.

it's with some regret that I'm selling these - they've only been worn a few times around the house and washed once.

reason I'm selling is - cant get used to what feels, to me, like a low rise. Its actually more like a medium rise but I've worn vintage repros so long I can't quite get used to it.

Theyre W34 and the inside leg is 35.

More photos available if you need them.

£135 plus postage, please contact if you've any questions.
