Bump, good for size 30 or 31

Looking for help on sizing these

I'm about a 34 waist using BiG measuring style. (My best fitting jeans are 16.5 across but I want my Samurai jeans to be a bit more relaxed, which would be 17 across for me). Most of my jeans that I own have a 30 tag size. (Except my APCs... everyone I asked/read said to go 28s if I normally wear 30s... and they are still way too tight after 3 months, thus the Sams).

Anyhow, what shrinkage can I expect on those, if any? BiG has no description for those, but the other 21oz do --- about the same or what? Any advice on size?

I think you should upsize at least one, meaning 35 or 36 because they shrink from tagged size.

You should email BiG and see if a size 34 measures 34 at the waist, if yes, get a 35 or 36

Alright so I hot soaked the waist only for 5 min due to many wanting to know the shrinking and it's a little over 30 right now.

my s0500 strecthed 2 sizes past tagged,

butwaist on my big usa's has only streched 1 inch

so diffeent denim = diffeent stretch even thou its the same company..

we're talking about raw measurements, not tagged size...

if size 32 started out as 34, it can probably stretch back to 34

you're saying "your" size 32, started out as 34, stretched to 36?

shrinks about 1-2" and won't stretch beyond raw measurement

watch out though some shrink from tagged size.. (the case of 21 and 24 oz)

I wore the jacket in 26F weather with a random undershirt and the FH black mint shirt and I was sweating just by walking...

Can't imagine the liberty issue

One thing though the hand opening is not slim so wind goes into the jacket, I need to get some gloves with a chunky wrist to close the hole.
