  1. What you know about the Mission District?

    http://missionmission.wordpress.com/

In fact, as seems to be customary, upon arriving at Bender’s, Kiya ran into several people he knew, and among them were a pair of travellers from London called Jon and Angi that had been by the shop earlier in the day. They’re newlyweds on an epic journey around the world, and though they had but a couple days in San Francisco, they spent two full hours at Self Edge. Jon said that of all the retail shops in all the cities they’ll visit on their year-and-a-half-long intercontinental tour, Kiya’s tops the list, by a longshot. He had a boatload of jeans shipped back to England.

this guy bought so many jeans!!

I was the kid you helped just after. Thanks for the great deal on the sweater. Got so many compliments last night on it.

  2. I own a pair of NS size 28 that fit very well. not tight, very comfortable etc. I just bought a pair of NC (H for homme?) in the same size, 28 and they are skin tight, like painted on! Is this normal? Does most ppl own a pair of NS and NC in the same size? Or do they size up in the NC? any info appreciated!

p.s. i feel like a damn noob asking this but then again, I am more of a shoehead than denimhead

When we are talking jean sizes

Say you are size 30, your apc size would be as follows:

    Rescue 27

    NS 28

    NC 29

  3. How is the Okinawa different from the '47 cut? I was going to get the 47s because they're so cheap on that attic site, but they don't have them in 32. Is the Okinawa the same cut with different denim? Slimmer in the leg? Smaller leg opening? Shorter rise?

    Any help is appreciated.

Remember the denim is unsanforized so comparing raw vs one wash can be tricky

    measurements of onewash:

  4. hMm, for these, should I measure just above the hip bone? Or on the belly button cause I'm not sure how far up these jeans rest on the waist

You could take a pair of jeans that has a similar rise to the pair you are buying and then measure the waist of those.

  5. theres no way to "replicate" a soaked fit. for example, a person with a bigger thigh will stretch the thigh area of a jean more than a person with chicken thighs.

I agree but it'd be nice if people posted pics so I could get an idea of what it would look like after a soak and breakin

  6. Why don't any of you guys post ass shots... not like I"m in to your asses but when I tried FH on at the store in a size down to replicate a soaked fit they had a real pooch in the butt. Do you guys experience that?

  7. Does anyone have a picture of a F380 fit? preferably on a tall guy but anyone works

The pictures of the jeans on the selfedge site aren't soaked sooo they kind of suck
