Is Cordovan and steer hide the same in terms of oiling?

Should you apply some leather protectant (ie. Obenaufs) on cordovan to protect it from drying out?

I recently bought a XL (42-44) Buzz Ricksons Loop Wheeled Crew Neck in Black. After trying on a few times, I realized I need a smaller size. Since it is passed the exchange deadline and I washed it, I am selling it here. Let me tell you, these are the softest and thickest sweatshirt I have ever owned. Definitely worth the price. I am going to buy a smaller size as soon as these sell. Currently this size is sold out on Self Edge

I worn these maybe 3-4 times indoors and washed them once to try to get some shrinkage. These dont really shrink much when washed. Below are the current sizes:

I have a small issue I hope to find an answer for. I recently just purchased a belt and when it arrived I found out I can only buckle it at the last hole of the belt. Since returning it is a hassle, does any know if leather belts will stretch any over time? or should I return it for one size up?
