It was on a different forum, but someone had ordered a SD and asked for the heel to be .25 inch lower and they made it for him. Or get a single midsole and half sole.

Of course Baker/White's offer the 705 now.

Don't know if this was mentioned before but I was looking through the sole options at bakers, and they now list a "vibram composition half sole" under the options of the semi dress.

I'm talking about the thickness of the rubber portion of the sole. It looks thinner on those nexus boots than other white's SD.

Does whites always taper down the full sole over the heel stack or is that something you specify? Can you specify it via Bakers?

I can't stand gladwell, I think some of his points are interesting in short articles, but to read a whole book is a bit much...

Worn for ~10 months of off and on wear. Probably about 6 washes at this point.

I thought the carhartt ropers were horible when i tried them on, really low rise and and slim. Makes some senses as a cowboy style pant I guess, but the rise was just too much (or little...).

+1. If they fit you thats one thing but they were way too tight on my things and the rise is very low..

I think they were 140 but I could be wrong. They have 4 different styles of ducks (one is the ropers, one is pre distressed) but the low rise prevented me from getting any.
