  1. I recently learned how to make the perfect ramen eggs

    1. let eggs sit at room temp for about half an hour

    2. poke a hole with a needle in the flatter part of the egg

    3. Place eggs with a slotted spoon into a pot of boiling water for exactly 5 minutes, must use a timer

    4. remove from water and let rest for 1 minute, then rinse cold water for 5 minutes.

    They'll look like this

  2. Didn't really want to start a new thread, but does anyone have suggestions for clean slim dress shoes like these YMC ones? http://www.gentlemansgadgets.com/index.php/ymc-chic-leather-shoes/ I'd prefer to spend $200 or less.

These are some by Gravity Pope at 135 CAD. Not sure about the quality.

Acne Jeans also makes model called Herr 1. You could easily size down a size or two in them.

  4. lets say there is a mexican-american dude who has been living in korea for the past 2 months and he is going to japan in a few days. will he have any problem going to japan without any hassle?
There are no restrictions, but they scan all incoming passengers at the airport for increased body temp with infrared cameras and you can be put in detention at a designated hospital if they identify any flu symptoms.

All these 'security measures' are quite pointless btw - the key characteristic of this virus is that a carrier can infect others for up to 7 days before any symptoms appear and is thus undetectable.

"Some nations, particularly in Asia, are tightening their borders and immigration controls, and American travelers, along with Mexicans, are finding themselves objects of suspicion. Health officers at three Japanese airports were being deployed Tuesday to check passengers before they got off flights from Mexico, Canada and the United States. Travelers suspected of having the flu would be quarantined and examined further at medical facilities, news agencies reported, citing the Japanese health minister."

"Japan will suspend visa-free entry for Mexican nationals and advise its own citizens to defer trips to the Latin American nation, the center of a global swine-flu outbreak.

The passenger screening will affect people arriving from the U.S. and Canada, expanding from checks taken on flights from Mexico, Masuzoe said. The government today advised its citizens to avoid traveling to Mexico and other affected countries, but isn’t placing formal restrictions, he said. Geneva-based WHO isn’t recommending travel restrictions."

  5. You know, I did some research, and I don't think this has happened before (at least in recent history). Viduka scored 4 against Pool at Leeds in 2000. Owen and Fowler have scored 4 at home. But I don't think anyone has scored 4 against Liverpool at Anfield (though it's possible that it's happened way back in the day).

Julio Baptista scored four as Arsenal routed Liverpool to seal a Carling Cup semi-final...

  7. A Victim Treats His Mugger Right

Julio Diaz has a daily routine. Every night, the 31-year-old social worker ends his hour-long subway commute to the Bronx one stop early, just so he can eat at his favorite diner.

But one night last month, as Diaz stepped off the No. 6 train and onto a nearly empty platform, his evening took an unexpected turn.

He was walking toward the stairs when a teenage boy approached and pulled out a knife.

"He wants my money, so I just gave him my wallet and told him, 'Here you go,'" Diaz says.

As the teen began to walk away, Diaz told him, "Hey, wait a minute. You forgot something. If you're going to be robbing people for the rest of the night, you might as well take my coat to keep you warm."

The would-be robber looked at his would-be victim, "like what's going on here?" Diaz says. "He asked me, 'Why are you doing this?'"

Diaz replied: "If you're willing to risk your freedom for a few dollars, then I guess you must really need the money. I mean, all I wanted to do was get dinner and if you really want to join me ... hey, you're more than welcome.
