Haven't heard a thing

I have to share some pics of the winner in the 2010 mynudies stf contest.  She killed it...her pair was just over the top.  It's good to see people are still into the 501 stf.  Not everyone can drop hundreds of dollars on an interest they're not even sure they'll enjoy.  I'm a big supporter of the low buck raw jean and just look at these.

Doh didn't spot that.  Well, that's actually pretty awesome in the bigger sizes.  Don't want to mention other brands but that's on par with a certain *ahem* mid-rise pioneered by a fit I do love.  Not too bad, setterman.

I'll have to think on this.  I have other stuff going on including some lower rise, which I actually like just as much as mid to full rise.  Low rise is really odd to wear again though.

louisbosco, what kind of stretch did you experience with the 24 oz?  The only pair I'd be able to acquire at the moment is a touch large.

I'm sure it would shrink; I'm just wondering about stretchback.

One initial wash and then I'm doing a wash a month barring any spills that require a mid-month wash.  I wanna see Jyoni's pair...

I'll have to play catch up, dude.  That glue I was complaining about earlier came off with some solvent, but the solvent stayed on.  I've been waiting for the solvent to dry off, which it has now.

There are other factors, getting compliments on other stuff etc, which have kept the sweats shelved.  But damn, yours look so good I'm breaking mine out again tomorrow.

Hey John - one has a very small white slub and one has a small stitching error that you could definitely fix up invisibly with a little work.

 

I'll take the slubbed one for now.  I'll restrain my greed for both in case somebody else wants one.

Never heard of the brand.  The pictured pair looks great but I do agree with setterman about the rise.  Looking at the twist, I wonder how much that rise would shrink in larger sizes.

I can't say anything about the missing loop.  themaster could very well be correct about the gangs.

Tan patch is 7x6 indigo, Linda ,  or white core black.  7x6 was a lighter weave.  Linda was for some ladies.  Black is black.

Hey, what is the deal with Nudie broken twill?  I would like to know more about that.

pepper davies, I'm interested in a seconded sweatshirt (or even 2).  Not really feelin the stain thing, but if either or both carry flaws/slubs please let me know.

LF should do a derivative bandanna with a motif of skulls instead of paisleys etc.  Oh damn, you're welcome haha.  That would be sweet.

Hey good call on triple cuffing the 005.  It really does work on the cut, much moreso than a double!  I've been indecisive on how to hem my newer 005 bks, as well as a pair of indigo.  The 005 has a tough leg to determine inseam.  Anyway, I tried the triple cuff mentioned, with zero break for my fit, and I like it.  I misted them down to flatten the cuff edges a bit.  Fits to come.

You'll be happy to know I got a huge glob of polyurethane glue on them.  I'm destroying fabric trying to remove it and will have to patch.

I'm sure you're secretly delighted to see my sweats out of commission for a bit :D j/k
