I think Somet makes a size 26...the problem with APC is that they stretch 2 sizes, so you'd have to size down 2. Do you know your waist measurement?

I think I'm a true 27-28. When I tried the size 25 NS they fit a bit too large, plus the stretch I definitely can't wear it. I tried 25 NC as well it fit just right, so plus stretch it's not possible to wear either.. I tried 28 skull 5010xx and they fit on the waist well, but I don't really like the fit on those.

I'm too small for sz 25 new standards! Any jeans with similar quality and fit that would fit me? I'm about 5'4" and 105 pounds, pretty small frame.

Nope, not that I know. For the John Varvatos Converses they are S$149 or S$139 (can't remember which now, but only one of the two prices) at all the stalls I've seen them at, including Leftfoot. Was eyeing the blue JV Jack Purcells, but changed my mind.

You can get them at Leftfoot stores (Far East Plaza, Orchard Cineleisure) and I've actually seen them at Converse shops as well as Tangs Orchard. They're not very rare should be fairly easy to find.
