  1. Design is much more than knowing a program, but without knowledge of your tools and a good feel for them, you'll never be able to express your thoughts accurately. I would suggest working with any mediums you can to gain comfort.

  2. It doesn't matter what sequencer you use, what equipment you have, your samples, whatever the fuck, if you have a good mind for music you'll find a way to make something good.

I've heard people cough up some badass stuff with rudimentary drum machines, cheap VST synths, computer microphones from the '90s, no production values, just working off slight knowledge of composition and musical theory. Did they have Cubase, Reason, terrific studios, whatever? No. They just scraped up what they could and made their own sound. If you think you need to be comfortable with some sophisticated program to make anything that sounds nice and shows some character, you're never going to get off the ground.

In the end, if it sounds good, it does, and if it doesn't, don't quit your day job. I could care less how you make it.

  3. i know the photographers for street/tune/fruits actually.. i wasnt suprised to see the tune/street photographers girlfriend got 2 fruits covers...

Does she have blonde hair? This one blonde chick is in just about every recent fruits issue. The owners of Faline are also constantly featured.

I got hassled in Shibuya/outside of clubs a lot for modeling stuff (snap modeling I guess) but I always figured it was just a scam for gaijin. Kind of wish I didn't pretend not to understand what they were asking me.

Is there a big problem with prostitutes in Tokyo? The last few times I've been around Shinjuku/Daikanyama at night (2:00am - 4:00) a lot of run-down chicks have been bugging me.

  4. servo, i'm sure you've seen it, but how do you like this d.a.n.c.e tee?

yes or no? for design alone, no justice reference...

you sure? the first set was exclusive to collette... (wesoldout.com whatever you want to call it)

The first sets were exclusive to both collette's online shop and wesoldout, and the newer shirts are being sold through Sixpack and Revolver. This one was shown in Revolver's collection a while back, but I'm pretty sure it's sold out.
