this just means that the spring is over compressed, that's why you have to twist more to get light.

try uncompressing the spring by prying it or something.

i've actually used almost everything except for the stanley containter. i leave most of it in my car. i used the gauge + elastic bandaid wrap thing to stop bleeding on my friend. ( it wasn't even that bad, i just wanted to use it)

just got back from a retreat in big bear. putting on snow chains in the dark on 9 cars with one flashlight (big maglite) was SUCH A PAIN. took us 2 hours and it was snowing and windy. the biggest drag was doin it in the dark while another car was using the light. times like these when i wish i had my nitecore cr2.

i emailed 4sevens and told them about the spring problem, they said they will replace it if i just send it in with return shipping....so i guess they have secret stock or sumfin.

combo edges are meh. personally, i think it just takes up room on the edge . i think i can do anything that a serrated edge can with a sharp and flat ground blade....like this one

It's hilarious what people think are awesome in knives until they actually own the knife. Having owned an 3300 Infidel, I can say it's pretty useless. It's nifty but the blade play was a pain in the ass and having to clean and make sure the OTF system didn't get jammed.

You know what's scarier than an OTF blade? A fixed blade like say a fairbairn sykes...

useless for being a user. awesome for a toy. mine did not have any problems with the OTF system and i probably fired it about 500 times.

infidel is a total waste of money BUT if you really want one no matter where you go you're going to end up spending 300 or more, which is just ridiculous

poor lock up (wtf why would i pay for blade play) are you serious? i would much rather pay the same cost and get myself a titanium framelock ala chris reeve sebenze, zero tolerance, or strider

(granted a strider may be a tad more expensive than the BM, but it will last you 10x as long)

ive also heard the springs that launch the blade wear out mad quick...i guess the only beneficial thing is that benchmade will fix it for life...god damn right they better if im paying 300+ for OTF knife

axis lock is so good.

benchmade's current clips on their normal production knives suck. the paint on them wear down REALLY quick. and it's reflective. non tactical status. but you can order the parkerized clip from them and they'll send you one for free.

this part is actually very true. without proper training, teh bad guy can easily take your knife and use it against you.
