Natural Variation in the Cordovan - the front is lighter than the back!

The quality feels great, and the natural and brown colors hopefully will age beautifully.

And while i was in japan i bought a black cordovan card case wallet for a friend. Hand made in Japan by a company called Cyrpis. Rumours are they produce the cordovan wallets for brooks brothers:

  3. Long Story Short:

I was in japan on holidays, went to the evisu store and bought 2000 lot.2 and got them handpainted. I liked the fit of size 33, but the store person said if i like the size 33, then i should buy the size 34, as it is only 50% sanforized and will shrink. Gave them a hot soak, they shrunk a bit, but i think they will stretch out (havent given it a chance to stretch, as i have only worn them for photos). Thus i was disappointed, and went back to the store to pick up the same pair in a smaller size. The size 34 pair is now for sale:

picked them up after 3 days for handpainted kanji:

Bought for 23200 YEN... which is roughly 280USD

My loss is your gain: $260 USD Shipped.

  4. yea, because they were handpainted, they are not able to be returned unfortunately =( i gave it a hot soak but the shrinkage wasn't as much as the store person said - i should have listened to my intuition as any shrinkage in sanforised jeans can be stretched out again fairly easily.

  5. thanks chambo, i think they fit is decent for a relaxed jean, it's just that I have a slim waist, and the jeans bunch up slightly when i wear my belt which does irritate me a little bit and i don't like wearing my jeans really really low

beautiful freak: i am really disappointed as well especially since i actually tried them on! i tried on the 33 and i was happy with the fit, and then the store person told me if i like the fit of the 33, i should buy the 34, as it will shrink 1 size (apparently theyre 50% sanforised according to the BlueinGreen website). I don't speak japanese, but i thought i would trust the store person who resembles a young yamane!!!

chambo - my TOJ0 is a size 50 with + 1 sleeve and + 1 length in body. imo the TOJ0 should come with a +1 body by default, as it is short for any kind of body really.

  6. The selvage is a thin red line selvage, comparable in width to LVC.

I bought them for around $280 USD, once converted, but i'm willing to take offers so i can go buy a new pair that is a size smaller in the waist as i'm only in japan for another 5 days and it takes 3 days to get them handpainted with anything other than gulls.

PM me with an offer incl shipping!

These are the hand painted No.2 in 2000 cut size 34 that i got last week. They are about 1.5" too big in the waist after a hot soak... so i'm thinking about going back to pick up a size 33 instead.

The hand painted kanji on the left says "evis"

Anyone interested in taking these off my hands?

  8. in tokyo right now with two of my friends. what are some good night life spots/acitivities for a tuesday, wednesday and thursday night?

thinking about hitting club atom and womb this weekend any recommendations on which nights to go, and also if they are any good?

  9. in japan on holiday at the moment and just bought some 2000 no.2 and got them hand painted in size 34....

when i went in store and tried on the 33, that was comfortable and fit just right on my waist, but the sales person said that if i like the fit of the size 33, then i should buy the 34 because after a wash the no.2 denim will shrink one size. I just hot soaked it and it has barely shrunk at all, maybe 0.5inches at most but these jeans are still about 1.5" too big. and the jeans haven't even begun stretching. i realised now that i should listen to my intuition and buy the size that fits right, because no.2 denim is sanforized and any shrinkage generally will stretch back out - correct?

do you think i should head back to the evisu store and pickup a pair of size 33, and try to sell my size 34s on Supermarket?

  10. i'm there for 4 days, with no itinerary other than visiting kyoto.

looking for some mild shopping, clubbing on the weekend (international friendly, because I'm australian) and perhaps relaxing things to do like masssages or spas/springs etc.
