  2. what kind of denim is on sale at BiG?

I PM'd the guy that posted regarding the BiG sale and this is what he said:

"sorry, not doing pick ups. a few shirts and jackets are on sale (mostly low hertz and paul smith stuff). Denim includes eternal, Oni, warehouse, and some samurais, but in a lot of random sizes and styles. it's mostly stuff that didn't really sell too well."

Does anyone know when the APC sale will be starting and whether or not Blackbird has the RG sunglasses? RG is on sale and depending on the price they would be a must cop...

  3. you are making no sense. if you're trying to argue that the YSL vulcanized sole shoes are of much higher quality than a white leather sk8 hi to warrant such a price tag, that's far from possible.

if you're trying to impress someone with YSL, do it right and not with a pair of their budget sneakers. (even though most of their men's ready to wear looks like garbage).

I'm not trying to impress you so thanks for the advice, but I'm good with my purchase.

  4. Clocky is a piece of shit. I bought one and other than to explain to your friends what it does, it is pretty worthless. It got me up the first couple times I used it but after awhile I slept through it.

  5. I heard good things about the texas cotton, is it as heavy as the 19 or 21 oz models?

It is only 15 oz. but BiG offers a great explanation:

    "

The S0500XX uses 100% Texas cotton which is famous for being a "rough" cotton due to it's high amount of short fibers. Normally, the short fibers are removed to make a smoother fabric, but Samurai adds more short cotton fibers to make the yarn even rougher. The result is a yarn that is highly uneven in size, making the woven fabric very "slubby" (irregular). Moreover, while most jean manufacturers mix different cottons from various areas, Samurai uses only 100% Texas cotton in the S0500XX. Even the thread is made of 100% Texas cotton. This creates a jean that captures the essence and spirit of this tough Texas denim.

Like all Samurai jeans, the S0500XX uses 100% pure indigo with no fillers, using the maximum amount of indigo that the yarn can hold. Weighing in at 15 ounces, Samurai also maximized the tension of the weave, so that after washing, the denim actually becomes even more stiff and the weave even tighter. This is the first time Samurai has done this, resulting in a jean with unprecedented "atari" (fading)."

Probably not as heavy as 19 or 21 oz. models but these things are built like a tank (in a good way).
