Does anyone know if they patched BO so that you can hear footsteps easier now? Was in a game earlier and it seemed like I could hear guys trying to sneak up on me.

I feel like most of the people who complain about black ops are the ones who aren't good. Yes the spawns and melee are terrible, but if you get turned-on then you probably a) can't aim, or should lead your shots. I don't see how you can have a k/d lower than 1.5. The game takes much more skill because it requires more shots to kill people, unlike MW2.

Played a few games of dom with kidaradio last night, shit was fun. Still need to get a group to play zombies with.

Thoughts on BO:

I am really enjoying the game so far. Things seem very balanced without OMA, commando, or noobtubes flying everywhere. It takes a lot more skill to kill people than MW2. Remember, this is not going to be as fluid as MW2 because it is a Treyarch game, and we all have our opinions about WaW.

The only cons of the game that worry me are the spawns and party matchmaking problems that i've encountered. Hopefully they figure out a way to fix these issues. Also, the maps have too many buildings/windows for people to camp out in, which can really slow down the pace of the games. (I am playing mostly TDM)

I am glad they're bringing back the AK74u, that was my favorite smg in cod4.

X11s are all you need. I usually play with the volume super low, or if it is high, it is just because I have my music playing through them. Once in a while if I am the last left on search I will turn up the volume, but I don't need to play with them loud as hell all the time (mostly because I don't get as sweaty as David or Darren when I play) ahahahaha.

I have the AX180s and they are pretty good. Can't compare with TBs though since i've never used them. Sometimes playing COD I feel like I can hear things that people with TBs can't hear. Maybe i'm just a tryhard tough I dunno.

The only downside to them is that the mic doesn't work with the (newer) black controller that I have. When I plug in the cord to the controller it doesn't register. However for the default controller that came with my xbox it works fine.

am i the only one half on the fence about black ops? i'm still going to cop but WaW wasn't exactly up to par with MW1 or MW2, hopefully enough people left IW and went to Treyarch to make it great

I am a bit skeptical of Black Ops living up the the hype. Hopefully Treyarch learns from their mistakes in WaW and listens to the gaming community's complaints regarding MW2. For some reason I feel that BO is going to have RC cars exploding everywhere and that it is going to get really annoying. Still going to kop though :eek:
