I can't tell if the baggyness at the ankle is the shoe or the pant.

Regardless, the idea of a pant that is gathered to stack a ton at the ankle is kinda cool.

I'm liking the mixture of slim + baggy in the same pant from this an other labels. Like drop crotch, baggy thigh - tight calf, etc.

    Kinda pastoral-sci-fi or something.

Pretty sure what you see stacking so much at the ankle in that picture is just the boot. I get what your saying though.

  2. Yo!

I'll post some fit pictures of my 19cm. I think I definitely should have sized down on these. :( Oh well. Nothing I can do about it now.

I think I'm going to alter this to make it a little more tapered. Anyone got any experience altering their dior? Any advice? :)

    Peace!

Just get them tapered from the knee down. If you taper the thigh too it mgight give the overall jean a different look that you don't like. It's hard to know until you actually do it, but thats just my advice.

  3. Mullholdrive, i'd say if your unhappy with the fit maybe sag them a bit more. The slouchy saggy seat look can sometimes balance out the slimmer dior fits to give them just an overall better look when being worn.

  4. I have a pair of single was 1947 Sugar Canes, and they fit really well and everything but recently I've been really craving for a pair of indigo Imperial dukes. Should i sell the 1947s for money to get the dukes??

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe you should figure out if you'd like the idea more of having the canes or the dukes? It's really not that difficult.

In my opinion if you're happy with the canes, stick with them. The denim is a bit more unique, and the overall product is less flashy / more about the denim. If you're only going to have one pair of japanese selvedge jeans, then i'd say the canes are a much better representation and taste of that category than the imperials.

  5. Canvas high tops are difficult to judge without closer inspection, but I think I would like them.

I think these are the same ones. Screencapped the picture off of the drkshdw page. If theyre less than 400 i'd cop, but anything more and its just a waste.

  6. any advice on picking a pure black pair of jeans??

I want black stitching, not baggy...slim is good...want a taper if possible, fade is optional and selvedge is high on my list..any ideas?? been looking at KMW black selvedge and black APCs...any others? thaanks all

Somet 018's might be a good slimmer option.

Besides that i'm not really sure. The sams, as poly said, are great, but might not work if you want a more modern fit.
