  1. I'm going to wax the laces that came with my white's SD... Anyone do that and do you know the best way? I was just going to soak them in hot wax and wipe clean... Plus, the laces White's give you for these are a tad too long...

Best bet is to buy Alden's waxed laces.

  2. That type 2 jacket is actually made by sugarcane, unlike what I expected, so the price will probaby be pretty high. A true shame for me. Now it's between that previously posted denim jacket (with gold buttons If still available) or the new Levi commuter line (hope not).

    Awesome fit Sunday!

Are they made by Sugar Cane in Japan or USA? The Californians were made by Sugar Cane in USA and were substantially cheaper than other MF pants (the nos denim likely played a part in that too, but there we don't know what denim is being used for the jacket yet).

  3. really? who can confirm this? pls help

When I ordered my Farmer-Ranchers, I originally tried to get Semi-Dress with a steel toe and when White's rejected my order, the sales rep I was working with changed the order to the Farmer-Rancher and told me that the Semi-Dress was basically the same boot as the Farmer-Rancher.

I no longer have the Farmer-Ranchers, so I can't make a direct comparison, but my Semi-Dress looks and fits the same.

  4. I'm still waiting for #8 chromexcel, come on, white's!

    ...

    Two pages back:

Hey guys just wanted to inform you on some attributes I know a lot of people have been anxious for from White's Boots.

I received a phone call yesterday and #8 Burgundy CXL and the dress/medallion toe cap will be available 9/1/11!!

There is NOT a firm date on Horsehide yet, but will keep you posted -

A not so exciting announcement is pricing; White’s pricing is expected to raise due to leather costs going up Vibram soles/heels raising. I am not sure how much this will affect the overall pricing structure from White’s but wanted you all to be informed. This is very common in the shoe industry for brands to raise prices 2-5% each year.

    Thank you as always,

    Kyle

  5. Not sure if any of the stockist for Rising Sun carry the Racer Shirt, maybe AB Fits in SF but I think you have to call for it 'cuz its not on their website. But I think the only place to get the bandannas is Rising Sun, Pasadena so you might just call them directly for both. Hope that helps.

Orvis carries the Racer Shirt in white:

The red (plum) is exclusive to their shop in Pasadena. I'd be all over one if the fucking 405 wasn't closed this weekend.

  6. Very weird. The price was 209USD for sure? That seems very strange. I may have to call them and ask them what is going on. No point for me to proxy them for 29400Yen if you can get them for 209USD.

Yeah, $209 for sure (and no tax since it's Portland). Had the fit been slimmer, I'd be soaking them right now.

  7. Got a picture of what you saw (facebook page). Might be the same not sure' date=' after considering the picture for a while. Did you get a look inside and see the pockets and the stamps on them? It's weird they are so much cheaper.

Still will say they are R001's just re-packaged for foreign market.[/quote']

They are the R008 for sure and were labeled as such. All of the details were there (patch, buttons, rivets, leather reinforcements AND the stamps on the pocket bags). The only thing I didn't see was the box, which just might not have been displayed.

  8. Picked up a pair of Hawaiis from Farhad and I gotta say. They're some of the most comfortable denim I've ever worn. Gave it a soak for a "reset" of sorts. Really digging the 50/50 cotton and sugarcane and also the fit of the denim.

50/50 cotton/sugarcane for shirts and jeans is perfection.

  9. HH, it is not for sale at the store. But they had a great button up denim jacket similar to the apache jacket. It has anchor buttons and it's all Selfedge. I'm stoked I got one.

    Please post pics.

  10. FS: Studio D'Artisan SL-1 Jeans size 32.

These jeans were a limited edition to celebrate the opening of Studio D'Artisan's Tokyo shop. These jeans were purchased directly from this shop.

The fit is based on the SD-103 cut and features white stitching, red arcurate on the right back pocket with matching red and blue tab, blue arcurate on the left back pocket with matching blue and red tab, red front right pocket bag, blue front left pocket bag and a shell cordovan patch.

They have been washed once (cold, no spin, air dried). The crotch and folds where I cuffed the jeans were repaired and darned by Self Edge. The pocket bags developed holes that were repaired by the Studio D'Artisan shop in Tokyo. They still have lots and lots of indigo left.

    Waist 32"

    Inseam 33"

    Thigh 12"

    Knee 8.5"

    Rise 10"

    Leg Opening" 8
