i ended up going and bought flights at the last minute (overpaid, $295 return with tiger - woof), but i wasn't feeling great and don't think i did very well. oh well.
it's a much better feeling than giving it a total miss man, best of luck.

how's it been? haven't checked out BBS at Assin.
in other news was at Hartsyard the other night for dinner, some of the dishes were a little bit precious/trying to be clever but I enjoyed the food nonetheless.

Sup du.

pretty expensive by ADL standards and service wasn't the best in the mornings, the croque monsieur wasn't too bad for $9 though

solid cafe, the menu is pretty simple (read: sandwiches and salads) and doesn't try to be clever like some places in Sydney, I don't have a comparative in ADL since I only managed to eat out for lunch once at A Mother's Milk on the way to the airport, but the single origin roasters coffee they had there was pretty good, much better than the coffee I had at Public.
p.s. any idea how Public makes their muesli? it was pretty damn good (finished my colleague's bowl heh)

enjoyed my time in ADL, went to Press*, Public, Mandoo, Udaberri, Hotel Tivoli and A Mother's Milk - wish we were more mobile so we could check out the lunch places!

thanks conq! will try to check out mandoo and wasai
edit: apparently the curious squire = former sparrow, hopefully the kitchen is still good!

don't really have a budget, probably 30~50 for dinner excluding drinks - will be there for work so we're mostly looking for a chilled vibe...
colleague mentioned Curious Squire, FancyBurger, The Tivoli Hotel, any good?
I've read that Mandoo is good!
we'll be at the Intercontinental but willing to travel a little bit, or walk around hunting food trucks heh

second blackstar pastry, I love the place to bits.
had lunch at 4 fourteen midweek, really nice fitout and the service and food were good, servings were pretty small though.
