  1. I would say 50 f/1.8, you might have to work a little bit more finding your shot (walking back and forth) but that lens is super sharp and would work better in low light conditions.

Ended up getting the 50 f/1.8 today.

isnt the 50mm 1.4 about 4 bills alone?

I dont kno much about Nikon, but sounds like you could pick that combo up... sell the d50 for whatever and come out with a good lens (and not having to buy the 1.8)

I went to meetup with the seller today and he only brought the d50.. He said he wasn't selling the 50 f/1.4 anymore because his friend needed it :( D50 was still a good deal for 3 bills since it's in such good condition. The guy even gave me an extra battery, sd card, and carrying case.

By the way, what program(s) do you guys use to edit your raw images with?

  2. Thanks for the help guys, looks like I'm going with the 50mm F/1.8D because I don't need the zoom, and I'll be shooting in low light a lot.

Edit- By the way, is 4 bills a good deal for a Nikon D50 in good condition? Comes with accessories + 50mm f/1.4 lens. Shutter count is at 6000.

  3. Which lens is better? I narrowed it down to these two because it's my first lens and I don't want to spend too much yet. So which one would be a better "beginner" lens?

Thanks in advance for any answers :)

    Nikon 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6G ED

    OR

    Nikon 50mm F/1.8D

  4. So my digital camera which I purchased in 2004 is just about dead, and I'm looking for a new camera.

Would any of you recommend a Nikon D40 as a starter DSLR camera? From the reviews I read it doesn't seem like a bad deal, but the compatibility issues with older lenses is throwing me off (no auto-adjust?).

I'd appreciate it if anyone could help answer my question, thanks! ;)

  5. My other sale thread is here:

  6. gimmi those bizbims!!! :D

Only if you give me yours, haha.

    Edit- @ skeetinyonose

I'm pretty sure the Uniqlo in NY got the MGS4 tees. They probably sold out fast? If it really comes down to it, getting the tee from Hide should be no problem. They should have a lot more stock in Japan.

  7. if you still want, i know a guy selling 165 mm sugino 75s with 48t TA Specialties Chainring NJS stamped for 150. almost new

Thanks for the offer but I'm going to have to pass.

I already purchased the 75's from the bike store. :)

  8. im kinda pissed right now, i tried to get some of teh gray suede els by proxy and i get a message today saying that teh atmos website was sold out but they hadnt updated their stock list so the size i needed had been sold out. WHAT THE FUCK! why dont all stockist update their availabilities. i just wanted some simple grey shoes.

Yeah I wish they would update it more frequently. Also, they should remove the product listing when the whole size run is sold out. I've clicked on countless rakuten links only to find out that the shoe is sold out in every size.
