That’s a nice one

I think the lot147 cut takes a bit of getting used to but I think it is versatile not that I’m fully on board.

No this is the denim shirt. It’s heavier than the herringbone I think. I was also tempted by that one.

Has anyone done a comparison between the covert pants, the work pants and the military chinos from TWC? What are the differences in cut, fabric, details?
I have covert cloth work trousers, 2 pairs of other cloth work trousers and the military chinos. All work trousers are the same cut, straight and wide, high waist. The chinos are markedly slimmer fitting.

So you’re saying @pomata asked a stupid question because it wasn’t specific enough? Well that’s cleared things up!
Cheers Neal
I missed ethnic from the question completely and just listed a bunch of restaurants that I like. Sorry @pomata some are ethnically not Northern European though…

The chinos I have are actually not that wide - compared to the work trousers that I have. Maybe different lot no. Chinos are wider cut, I dunno. My bryceland chinos are a much wider cut.

Anyone know the best place to get their chinos? Been wanting a nice wide fit chino and I've been recommended At Last a bunch of time. Haven't found their stuff online anywhere in stock, though.
Mail order. Send an email to the address. Isao speaks fluent English - he lived in london for years.

any suggestion on ethnic food in London? good restaurants or even street food? any suggestion woul be appreciated
Here are some favourites from me, pretty random selection from expensive to cheap(ish), around east, EC and north London mostly
st John
quality chop house
mangal
Norman’s cafe
pophams bakery
Dom’s subs
manteca
e mono
smokestak
Street food is all over the place. Try looking at Kerb London, coal drops yard, Camden lock, white cross street market, depends where you are going to be. I wouldn’t trek too far for these places.

I wear glasses all day everyday now. My sunglasses also have prescription lenses these days…
I have always loved the Moscot lemtosh frame and have had several pairs - sunglasses and clear prescription lenses.
I also have a pair of Hakusan Megane frames from Timeworn clothing. These are really great quality. Beautiful frames, but heavy.1 -
And some nice pickles too.

@Double 0 Soul we're definitely shaped by our experiences! Although the loafers my grandpa was wearing were probably more rugged looking and less dressy and were beat to hell. Could probably dig up a photo although it's been years since they sold the lake house (it wasn't nearly as fancy as it sounds), he'd wear them doing yard work and whenever we went out on the boat. Good memories.
@fre-co thanks for your sizing experience, sounds like I might be safer with a 12 (which I believe is currently sold out) in that case.
My 11.5 Trubalance Indy boots are comfortable. I'm a UK11/EU 45 in Paraboot, 12 in Lofgren and 11.5 in Viberg for reference.Might be worth trying 11.5 if you don’t have wide feet or high instep.

@Broark I have alden LHS on the van last - I went 10E. I also have Indy boots - trubalance 9.5E that fit very well. And v tips - Barrie 10D that fit pretty good. I think I might be about a 10E on the brannock. My whites are 10E and attractions are 10.
yes the strap was snug on my LHS at first and sometimes can get a bit tight after a long day especially when it is hot. I have a high instep though.
fuck Patrick cox though - I remember those terrible things too.
