  1. As bod said, my question was how much they will shrink, I want to end up at 30 after hem plus shrinking but I need to hem pre soak if I order online.

Sounds like if I hem to 34 that should be fine

  2. Bsp owners, the inseam on the site says 41 how much shrinkage did you get? I read in the thread someone said 4 inches but I have never had a pair shrink that much.

    I want to hem to 35, I'm about 5'9".

    Much appreciated.

  3. the knee was pretty bad. It is hard to say, everyone says different things. I think the most painful is the knee and hamstrings. Honestly though, my least favourite part to get tattooed is ribs/sternum because it hurts like a bitch and really messes up my breathing etc so I feel sick/lightheaded...

  4. what's the deal with getting a handicap?? how many rounds do you need to play?

I think you only have to have about 5 rounds to obtain a handicap, at least under the GAO I think they would issue one then. Obviously the more you play the more reliable the number...it kind of tracks how you've been playing recently. There are a number of other factors that affect handicap too, like whether it was a tournament score etc.

Caddying was a tough job. I don't mean tough physically really, although I could have done without the large one-piece jumper in 35 degree weather with 100% humidity haha. Just mentally it made me hate golf, a game I played twice a day every summer from age 11-18. You would stand on the first tee with a 120 handicapper and 3 others and KNOW that the next five hours was going to BLOW, and potentially reward you with a $20 tip.

The low tips were kind of rare though, I kept going back because the money was unbeatable for a summer job. There were a number of days where I would go into work at 7:30am, get the first bag and be home before 12 with $160 in cash in my pocket. The course was the most expensive one to join in Canada and the tips were crazy, I had probably 2 or 3 >$400 tip days over my span working there (which all involved 2 rounds). I also caddied for a bunch of famous people (most of the toronto maple leafs, the raptors who golfed, several other hockey players, Hootie and the blowfish haha, samuel L, and in a group with Bill Clinton, and a group with T woods, not to mention several other tour players).

    So it wasn't all bad...

  5. I used to play a ton but with work I barely get out. Plus I live in Toronto, and while there are many great courses, the season is ridiculously short. Also even when I played a lot I was never the type to head out and play just because I had a tee time; if the weather is shit I am not going near a course.

I was a scratch for like 6 years and currently I am probably a 8-12 hcp so it is mad frustrating playing for me now...my short game has gone to shit. I think working for a number of years at a golf course caddying made me like it less and less. it's really hard to walk around behind some hack and pretend like you are interested in their game, let alone pretend that your advice might help them shoot a decent score. I have been wanting to play more lately since I finished school and will never have to caddy again though.

I was never able to figure out how some people could like golf and play every weekend when they are so terrible at it. It is one of the few sports/games where people will keep playing for 20 years and show basically no improvement.

  6. Yeah Pearl Harbour in Kensington is where I get all my work done. Bill is one of the best without a doubt but even with this shop he is still kind of hard to track down and get some time with...good luck

Haha...this movie is just horrible is so many ways. I have to watch it when it is on though just to see the scene where they play hockey with that giant diamond. Silverstone is...theeeee worst actress ever put on a screen, it's just painful to watch

  8. Exactly...this was in the works for a while. And for the record, Bosh would have made substantially more in Toronto, Christmas in a Submarine is just flat wrong about that. Toronto could have paid him more and given him a 6th year on his deal with $27 million that Miami can't offer him...it is basic stuff, anyone who knows about the CBA knows this

Let's see what he gets in 2017 when he negotiates a deal then, if it is >$27 million (today, obviously indexed to inflation) I owe you a coke.

Yes let's move on...sorry for the hijack

  9. Wow, you've gotten so many things wrong here.

    Let's go:

It only took me about 30 seconds of research to determine that Bosh's income in Toronto (after national and provincial taxes) came out to $8,476,32. (This is assuming he was paying taxes in Canada at all and not claiming US residency. Were he to be doing that he'd have been paying even more, as the highest bracket in Canada is 29%, whereas in the US it's 35%)

His income playing for the Heat works out to be $9,447,686 (Because while he's paying a higher federal income tax in the US, Florida lacks an income tax, unlike Ontario.)

This is roughly the same situation as Lebron (minus the Canadian complications.) On paper he took "less money" but he ended up getting to keep more of it. The only person who actually sees less money is Dwyane.

Well you probably should have spent more time, because he would have been earning more money if he had signed with Toronto because of the CBA.

  10. Bosh and his supporting cast got him to one playoff appearance in seven years, while Dirk and his crew have been there eleven straight years. You can't knock him and say that he "deserted" fans when he had no real incentive to stay other than sentimental ones. .

Well he took less money to go to Miami to lick Wade and LBJ's balls and left Toronto with, as you so aptly stated, one playoff appearance in 7 years. I don't care about Bosh leaving because I know he isn't worth that money, but I'm not the GM and Toronto fans wanted to at least get something for their investment.

But in the context of him whining about losing, he is a pussy. He didn't earn it, how many times do great players win the title without being part of a good, solid and cohesive team? It just doesn't happen. He was drafted by toronto, we paid him max money, he was injured and all that bs. Then he gets healthy and bolts and won't even sign and trade so we get something for him because what, he wants to go to Miami with his butt buddies wade and Lebron? Or he didn't get exposure in Toronto? Yeah well we saw why...he should have been happy making max money in anonymity because he doesn't deserve to be paid top dollars and now EVERYONE knows it not just the people in Toronto.

And men don't cry about losing a game...

  11. So many players play the game and never win a title. There is a lot more mileage in Dallas and a lot more heart. Trying to patch some squad of douchey assholes together thinking they can win it all is what pisses everyone off. They are talented...but dancing around acting like fools and making fun of opposing players injuries etc, if you wanna do that shit you better at least bring it on the floor and they just didn't.

As for Bosh crying, I dunno I just don't cry because...well I am a man. But I do feel like he's really the only one of the three who cares at all, but really, how much heart can he have? He deserted the fans in TO to chase a title in one year and he failed. Dirk stuck it out in Dallas and really earned it; J Kidd played on a bunch of shit teams and earned it. I don't feel one bit sorry for boshtrich...he's soft as fuck and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if his 'alliance' ended this summer because LBJ and Wade want someone else on their team since obviously (in their minds) nothing they do could have resulted in losing in the finals

  12. Anyone into Jurassic 5??!?

Is anyone who listens to Hip Hop not into J5?

I see you're dwelling in the GTA...heads up if anyone hasn't heard, free Pharcyde and Digable Planets at Yonge-Dundas June 19. Actually a rap concert worth going to

  13. They tend to do that a lot, mount a comeback and get it to one or two possessions...then get so stagnant and throw up bad shots, ultimately losing. I don't think Scott Brooks really has any clue what he's doing...he just has a bunch of young guys with talent. It is pretty impressive what they have done considering...

  14. Oh yeah this thread...

Just finishing third year at Osgoode in 10 days and I can't wait to be done. Not like I am looking forward to working, I probably won't even make it 3 years in the real world working 14 hour days...I can't say I'm looking forward to that but at least I have this summer off

In terms of making a lot of money, I would skip law because it's a good way to become wealthy I guess but, as eric pointed out, it is also a lot of work. If you like it, then it is probably a good career, but many lawyers I know at my firm that are associates have repeatedly told me it is a 'get rich slow' scheme, and per hour, you don't make much more than say a teacher at the start, so you have to be willing to slug it out for at least 3 or 4 years.
