Thanks guys! Yes, I went thru SH, although I had to work around getting the sole I wanted. rkusmant - the more I see that natural CXL the more they appeal!
Also, I meant to quote this too - stunning boots & pics, sweapea!!

Paul, looks like a real fun evening. Funny, my wife is crazy about Fiennes too. I don't get it
But those floors - beautiful, that's a work of art. Super difficult to find anything like that here sadly. Lovely work you did there.
Cash - stunning scenery! Robbie - looking good! How many washes now?

Great couple of pairs rkusmant!
Can't say how these will "age", but I finally got my MTO's... (thanks CTB for all the help!).
Always loved the comfort of the Vibram Christy sole. Interestingly, the "Moreflex" used on these looks the same, but is lighter & more flexible - perfect for this kind of boot!

^Yeah, thread has been fantastic!
One more from the long weekend...

We headed over to Centre Island late afternoon - with the pups of course! They really enjoyed the ferry ride and all the attention!
Always a bustling scene at Queen's Quay - street musicians, vendors, crowds of people….
Entrance to the ferry docks. Yes, that is a guy with a deer head on his back… They were going to shoot a film - it sounded pretty wild!
Great ride over.
There used to be many private residences on the island, along with a small community infrastructure. The properties were under a 99 year lease from the government, and most of them are now gone.
IThe island is well maintained, with a little amusement park, quiet coves for kayak schools, and the annual dragonboat races are held here.
There's also a little petting farm, with rabbits, sheep, pigs, chickens. and….. Peacocks???
We headed south, to the beaches, to chill out, & explore. Perfect for the kids!
By the pier, caught the ambient light from a glorious sunset
Then went back to the ferry landing, and got my postcard shot for the day…

Happy 4th of July guys!
Man, this thread has been awesome - too many good posts to mention them all! But Max - truly stunning! Hope to see more! Dimpra, great shots - that Leica lens is a beaut! Fab - crazy good! Colours & clarity rock! Looks like a wild place to explore! No security??
Xpost from RxC - my Canada Day long weekend roundup. We had friends visiting for the weekend, and after a day of cycling, we had an early dinner out. Quite a variety - club sandwiches, butter chicken, and my favourite - steak!
Dinner was early so that we could digest & have a few beers before the evening fireworks.
What with all our guests, we skipped going to the big productions this year, and stayed local. It was still pretty fun. A sampling of what we saw for an hour or so….
The detritus of the day….
We had great weather all weekend, except for an overnight thunderstorm, which cooled things off nicely!
So it was pretty much lounging around and having waterfights! The kids all had a great time - amazing, forget the fancy toys - give them water & a container, and they'll figure something out!
Not quite sure what they were doing here, but it made for some whacky shots!

Robbie - looks like an amazing place! Stuff like that is fewer and farther between these days...
Mike - mmmmm!
pomata
I suspect isn't actually wearing his contest jeans. I think he got a 32 waist- you could ask him, sweapea.
If he'd give them over, I for one would like to have you along. Be nice to have a second woman (as opposed to a second "lady", which according to subjective definitions we have from 0 to 30 of). And if you do as much justice to the Roys as you do to your Mr. Freedoms, you'd be a force to be reckoned with.
Ahaha! ZING!!! All kidding aside - sweapea I'd love to see you in this!! C'mon Pomata, how about giving her a shot?

2nd picture is so awesome. did you get a 1.8 or 1.4??
Thanks Fab! I got the 1.2! And since we've been out with friends and family, pups & sugar-hyped kids don't make for good portrait subjects

Nice Fab! Like the ways you captured the light.
Finally got the 85 I was after. Just messing around, I still need to take it for a proper test drive

We passed through the botanical gardens for some shots
Then headed over to a playground. There was no one there, and the pups wanted to try new things!
The little guy wants to do anything our daughter does - such trust!
He even graduated to the big slide!
The big guy was content to observe - his longer legs made sliding harder for him!
On our drive home, it alternated between thunder/lightning, and the sun peeking out. We stopped at Jordan Harbour for some shots.
As we were getting ready to leave, there was another break in the rain, and I got out of the car to take this final shot.
