  1. Just posted my pics. Not much of a photographer myself, so I asked a friend, and don't want to bother her more than I have so I guess those are my final entries. Didn't stand much of a chance in the first place, so the pics don't really make a difference. ;)

As it has been said, thanks Flash for getting this off the ground, and allowing us to be part of something, to me, that is groundbreaking.

Thanks to all the participants, and especially those who posted regularly.

My apologies for not being a regular poster, but life just caught up to me, and denim is not that big a part of my life anymore. :(

Cheers, and congrats to the winner in advance!

Edit: Didn't realize that Flash set up another thread. Posted in there too! Thanks bro!

  2. Although I haven't been active at all in this whole contest, I am honored and privileged to be part of this.

I will try to get pics up tmr, although with all the amazing jeans, I don't stand a snowball's chance in Hell. ;)

Thank you all, and of course, Ryo and Hiro!

  3. Happy belated anniversary guys!

I can't see nothing on my patch anymore!!!

To celebrate the anniversary, I gave my Ooes their second wash (in a year)! No pics though.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's jeans at the end of the contest. Highly unlikely I will win anything though. Oh well.

  4. Hi guys! Sorry for the radio silence, but life just... well... went on.

Great to catch up on the past posts, and furiously giving rep! Hahaha.

Felt a bit guilty, and thought of posting some stuff....

To distract from the lack of progress on my jeans, I will start off with a couple of food shots...

A perennial favorite here in Singapore, char kway teow (fried rice noodles) We queued up 40 minutes for a plate; this was at a famous and popular stall.

And finally, some jeans action. Found a hole, and mended it up in the office. Good thing I carry needles and thread!

It's difficult taking pictures of jeans in the office, when you share a cubicle with 2 other colleagues. Got caught in the act by one of my colleagues...

  5. Sorry for the dearth of updates from Singapore! Nothing much happening in my boring life (salary-man status...) but here is a shot that I sneakily took while at work! I tried to show the colour difference between the upper and lower legs, but failed miserably. The lower legs are still quite dark and hairy though!

Save the initial soak(s), I think my jeans will only see water only at the 6 months mark, or even 8.

    Have a great weekend all!

  6. Finally, with Christmas just round the corner, my office had a Christmas decoration competition. We had to try to use recycled materials and not spend too much.

  7. Great stuff everyone! Just realized that I have been away (from Sufu in general) for way too long! I will try to summarize the highlights of the past 2 months with poorly taken pictures! Hooray!

Firstly, a few pictures from my recent (okay, not so recent, was 2 months ago) trip to Batam for a quick getaway with my girl.

At the largest temple in Southeast Asia, we spotted this interesting Buddha statue...

    2012-11-11192900-1.jpg

    And this.

    2012-10-25111930.jpg

It was sunny and quite hot throughout, but it's better than rain.

Nothing much happened, but I got a wedgie...

    Better idea of the jeans...

  8. Good week all! To join in the conversation, my jeans are starting to stink a little, although physical activities have been kept to the minimum, but I will hold out a little longer until my first wash. And the stretch... I have to constantly hitch up my pants like an old man (at least, to me, people who hitch up their pants a lot seem to always be older gentlemen, here in Singapore)!

And I am loving the hairiness and slubs on the denim, and the hand-feel is amazing. I sometimes catch myself stroking my thighs and have to restrain myself, lest I be branded a pervert.

Once again, I am here to post pictures of food, and stuff. No jeans this time, although I was wearing them the whole time. Please forgive me!

At around 12 midnight, 1 am, on Saturday night, I went to Mustafa Center, one of the few (only?) 24 hour shopping center that sells a whole myriad of goods, from electronics to apparel to vitamins and supplements. I heard that good deals could be had for something I was looking for, but alas, they were out of stock!

So I went to stuff my disappointed face with these.

As you can imagine, I was quite stuffed when I was done.

And on Sunday, I had crocodile meat for the first time (no pics, but it tasted like venison to me, although most people said it tastes like chicken), and bought what I was searching for on Saturday. :)

Looks ridiculously big on my skinny wrists (the only part of my body that is skinny ) but I like it.

  9. ^^^ Nice bag rkusmant! Where's it from?

I don't do much in my daily life, and Singapore is not know for much, except perhaps like what aho mentioned before, the food (and maybe fines, and caning, and being 'litter-free', etc...).

Here's what my friend and I had for dinner last night.

My mushroom sauce chicken with sausages, with sides of fries and garlic spaghetti.

And her ladies' cut sirloin, with baked potato and onion rings.

    8A7F4ADF-FC93-41FD-A207-4D746BAE3673-4642-000004ABCF346A40.jpg

Doesn't look like much, but an okay meal. Not too sure about the rest of the world, but I would think that it is difficult to find decent food at these prices elsewhere: the chicken was SGD9.50, and the sirloin was SGD14 oddish, all in.

This morning, I spotted some fading going around the coin pocket.

That's all. Thank you for looking!

  10. Hey Ignaurus, just curious. How did you get pictures of your jeans on the ground, and a fit pic, in what looks to be like the same location, if you don't mind me asking? Hahaha!

Flash, no need to reiterate, but as b_f said, fit's good.

Hope I will have more interesting things in the works to keep this thread going!

  11. It was a pretty packed weekend for me, with one of my friends getting married. I was honored to be invited to her photoshoot and wedding dinner on Friday.

It was a nice, cozy affair, and I was extremely impressed with my friend, for being the most chill bride ever.

It's not easy to find nice nature-y places in Singapore for pictures, but she managed.

  12. If only Singapore were half as interesting as Japan or Ireland...

To celebrate Mid-autumn Festival, there was a street fair thingy going on along the Singapore River. Bright lights everywhere, food and game stalls (which I didn't take pictures of as it was quite crowded and warm out).

I did take a picture of me with my Chinese Zodiac avatar though. Yup, that's an Ox, and I have no idea why he is holding a trident.

And took pictures of my family's Chinese Zodiac avatars as well.

    This is dad.

I think my iPhone 4 did pretty alright in these low light conditions! :)

  13. Hi all, it's me again, so expect more poorly taken pictures from my iPhone! :P

Had a cheeseburger with garlic and herb fries for lunch.

    A Nutella tart! Woo!

Decided to go for double cuffs, and wear the jeans higher up on my waist to try to alleviate the hip flare.

Then I had a BBQ at a friend's place. Loads of meat and grilled seafood (wrapped in foil). The green strips that you can barely make out in the corner is called 'otah otah', which is spicy fish paste. It's really yummy!

The land in Singapore is extremely limited, with many of us staying in government built high rise apartments, so it was nice to be at a private property.

A rare sight in Singapore, but they owned their own trees! This is one of the tree's flowers. They are called bunga kerak nasi, which loosely translate to 'crusty rice flower', crusty rice being the burnt rice at the bottom of the pot. The flowers smelt of pandan. According to my friend's mother, these are hard-to-find trees in Singapore nowadays as they are 'fussy trees'.

Great time spent with great people, perfect way to kick off the weekend. :) Have a nice one, everyone!

  14. More boring stuff from me to keep this thread up on top! Hope everyone doesn't mind me spamming boring pictures!

    Same old, same old.

The jeans, even though are pretty loose on me, are surprisingly stack-able! Should I go for stacks?

Also, went to try out a new place new my work area for lunch. Had the olive rice with prawns and chicken with herbs.

Don't mind the inane post, and the poor pictures! TGIF!

  15. Good to see your pair, jacoblue. Let's see some fit pics!

--simon--, did you prop your camera up on a ledge or something? ;p looking good!

rayw44, work wear for work! Fit looks great too!

Here is the highlight of my boring day...

Angus ribeye with mushroom sauce, and cheesy pasta, buttered mushrooms and mashed potato.

Triple cuffed in the pictures above, but decided to go for huge double cuffs today. I think I need a hem.

Liking the variety of fits. I really like aho and mapz fits too, and Unearthed's details. :)
