  1. got a Dell M1210 a couple of months ago

it looks nice and i like the media direct feature

i dont do anything labor intensive on it so it surpasses my needs sofar

  2. what are some choice affordable places to stay in Los Angeles? I know that's a vague and broad area to refer to but I'm curious to know if there's a typical franchise of motels, hotels or hostels that are RELATIVLY cheap to the area.

thanks alot for any kind of advice

  3. i'm living in Calgary since last november; originally from Montreal

honestly i'm already looking forward to moving away but i think there's something for everyone in this city. i think with the volume of people coming from elsewhere this place has the potential to be a cultural hub. money doesnt make everything, this is what this place is about.

there's some good places to buy clothing and music. the clubs and it's promoters are constantly bringing interesting acts into town.

do the legwork and you wont feel too deprived.

  4. if you're on St-Laurent street just ask where Roy street is and there's going to be a place called Kopshop

it's a gallery/venue spot by local graffity crew

    http://www.lekopshop.com/

their site isnt quit up and running yet

on your way there, up st-laurent to roy, past and within the vicinity you'll find shops and things that might be of interest

once at the shop there's going to be flyers and whatnot

you gotta walk in this city and talk with locals

i dont know what kind of bars/cubs you're into but Crecent/St-Catherine street is really wack IMO but most people out of town seem to like it

    good luck
