    if you are really lucky you maybe able to speak with the boss of QC since he deals with skulls, he should have some experience. but thing is they are one of your largest competitors. so i dont think they would want help killing themselves.

    i feel your best bet would be like to directly email the companies you are interested in dealing with. i have had some email correspondence with some of their sales personnel (from samurai and other japanese retailers) and they are all really friendly and helpful.

    or you could also, like plongin mentioned, ask people from self edge they are friendly SUFUers and are not really direct competitors for your future biz.

    I bought it from this shop as well, but in the shop, not online on my first trip to Japan. I knew it's in Ueno, but didn't know the location. Saw it by chance, and bought the one I can afford. :D

    I don't think thin leather = poor fade, but I won't know since my WINGS is the dark tan version ..... :) black black red red one ..... can't see anything ..... hahahhahaa ....

    I think he's referring to the wallet fade on jeans

    oh okay okay i guess if i ever buy one it'll be from that site.

    WINGS is great as well, actually. The leather feels a bit thin, but the wallet looks very sophisticated. Great for office wear, and at about S$250, it great value, imo, compare to other mainstream designer brands. Especially the one that never go on sale but the price keep increasing ......

    Another thing, though not important at all, is that you know that not many people are carrying the same wallet as you :D . hahahhaaa ....

    Oh, and I just love the leather smell ...... mmmm ..... :)

    yeah the only thing about the wings is they are abit thin.

    i think thats why they are cheaper.

    but like you said that would make it suitable for office wear.

    but unfortunately thin = poorer wallet fades? (correct me if i am wrong)

    $250 is a good price for the kind of leather they are offering.

    by the way how did you get your wings?

    Looking for a black selvage jeans. NOT tight or slim fitting. More of a regular fit. If not relaxed even. Any recommendations?

    Samurai S5000BK

    or

    Studio d'Artisan DP 292 Black

    I do realise the Samurais are a bit slim fitting. But the quality of the denim and dye seems to be superior... right?

    if you are looking for straight cut. try the black somets.

    imo, they are plain beautiful.

    black selvedge denim with contrasting white threading.

    so the indigos have a fair bit more give/stretch then the blacks?
    ^ you should definitely size down. actually you can even try a 30. it'll be downright torture to button them up at first, but after a few wears they'll be good. but when you put them on the first time, be prepared to have sore thumbs!

    the black imperials hardly stretches. i've had mine for close to 2 months, i try to wear them everyday, and they've expanded about half an inch at the waist at most.

    i recommend sizing down too.

    my waist measures 32 and i got a pair of 31 indigo dukes.

    from what used to be a snug fit is now(3 months later) its actually quite loose.

    they have surely stretched more than 1" at the waist.

    i am not too sure how it compares to the blacks.

    IMO, 31 would be safe and 30 would be a little torturing for the first week.

    SPANKER II man !!! Expensive, but even from pictures, you can see that the leather is much better and the construction more solid and rugged. :D

    Worth every penny, and so much more .....

    wow SPANKER II is beautiful, but like you said its expensive.

    maybe a little too expensive for a poor man to use. haha

    i am looking at WINGS.

    if i remember correctly from many posts before.. you have bought them right?

    lek nice RM! look at your profile picture keeps reminding me of when i should get my hands on a wildswans. they are beauitful man.

    TiP hanging at arab street and boat quay? sheesha? haha i do sheesha once in a while

    damienos thursdays? never been there on thursdays man. fridays are always great. oh yah i almost forgot its was raining that night. but like you said it was real boring.

    about that $70 jeans theory. i agree with that too man. we are just people who would'nt mind parting with $300 or more on jeans and we love them so much we would get violent when people even suggest to wash our jeans.

    for me i dont spend much money on those tech gadgets unlike most singaporeans who change their handphones monthly. always looking for the higher pixel camera and the sleekest designs.

    i am actually quite new to this denim game but i consider myself hooked.

    right now, all i do is come on to superfuture stare at jeans all day and constantly change/increase my jeans wishlist. and thats bad. haha

    yup damienos i was rocking a pair of imperials bought from a store called the lawn. hmm. wonder if you heard of it. haha

    and yes zouk was boring that night. could it be sonny's fault?

    lek you are damn right about the NS allowance. its a real bitch. its tough enough to feed yourself and get pass for your ass to get around the island let alone buying expensive clothes.

    and booze here is expensive because of the alcohol tax the government imposes. and yes that makes tiger beer more expensive in the country of manufacture(s'pore) as compared to elsewhere.

    i choose good clothes, good nights and no savings. haha

    for point 1), its true i totally agree that those people who wear their PT shoes out are totally not cool. especially those who top them off with bell bottoms.

    2) i'm trying not to be racist.

    3) food here is awesome. yeah some of us do appreciate good food. i dont know if all i know is only chinese [ie. everything szechuan, beijing, shanghai, taiwanese], korean, japanese and western [ie. everything italian, spanish, mexican, american, english, french, lebanese etc.] but like many other singaporeans i'm very adventurous with food.

    4) i totally agree that booze is way too expensive i spend hundreds to get drunk weekly. and that sucks especially when in places like australia beer is cheaper than coke.

    last but not least,

    think u just came back from zouk(midnight madness sounds so zouk). haha

    i just did. and i think i saw damienos.

    also i think you're high or really annoyed cos its 4am and you are bitching online. ha!
