PAID VACATION

im looking for a good summer bike. like a 10 speed. i know nothing about bikes, i just want something to take me from A to B and not look like a geezer.

however, i live in a college town full of bikes and bike nazi snobs... so on craigslist there are inflated prices, what do you guys think should be my price to look for when it comes to just a 10 speed racing bike. whats an honest price range?

i have always felt two things wearing shorts, first being i feel like a little kid, and second i feel like my dad.

at 21 i am to old to do the whole "wear shorts because you dont know better" and im to young to be like "chevy chase on a family vacation!"

i wear shorts, but i would rather wear pants for this reason. when im old enough, i will fully embrace them because they will match with my greying hair and 5 year old son

im at work until 7, then im sitting on my ass and eating junk food. maybe ill roll on my board from my kitchen to my bathroom.

i run my mac into an old audiocontrol EQ deck, then that into an Pioneer stereo reciever, then those into some old RCAs.

when i get some extra cash im going to run the EQ deck into an old tube harp/PA address head (bogen etc), then that into some nicer speakers.

other than that for guitar i have a 76 ibanez and an early 90s vox ac-30

for me, i wear a 29 in cheap monday and i have two pairs of 31 april 77, the waists are large, but they fit perfect in the thigh and leg, straight and slim but not painted on. i love em, the HI-STANDARDS were my first and fav, but i really like my white colordrives as well. anyway, the material of colordrives is thinner and "falls" different on my legs, plus they are more cream colored than white which i find nicer than bleached out white.

these were good buys and i'm very happy with em

i want a pair of the purple (paired with a black shirt looks stellar) and i hope the burgandy is continued on into the fall because i could totally see getting it then.

you can easily sew those yourself with any style of jeans, just oversize then take them in the crust punk way.

or you can do what i did for a project, go to a thrift store, get a soft turtle neck (the kind that are slim fitting from the early 80s) or a thin fitting crew sweatshirt. turn it upside down, run a seem inside the waist band or sew in suspenders off the waist (suspender material at any craft store).

turn them upside down and wear them as your feet through the arms. sew what would be the collar in or cut it out completely and then run a stitch through where it was to close it off.

the more crazy the print of the sweatshirt the better, it will look like the fit of Cassette Playa stuff and they are fun to make. skin tight legs that have stretchy ends, but a bulky waist section thats long to your thighs.
