For those that didn't or couldn't pass by Self Edge on Sunday, you missed seeing an incredible black denim shirt that is 22oz thick and the blacked out Super Black denim also 22oz. Good meeting the man behind Iron Heart, Mr. Haraki and also UK Iron Heart distributor, Giles. Other cool people and free beer that I had to pass on since I was short on time.

Thanks for the confirmation, Rogerroundly! Now it's deciding between the Samurai S510XX 21oz. and another pair of these Okinawas.

I was thinking about picking another pair of SC Okinawas up and found this auction:
Legit or Fakes? They look good to me, but he is a new Ebayer with low feedback.

Where in California or in US for that matter, can you find Sudio D'Artisan?

I need to get a pair of these in a 33 or a 34, is it way too late guys?

I'd say so, especially with them focusing on the basics that made their brand what it is today. I'm fairly impressed with several of the LVC items.

Oh and thanks for the recommendations, I'm already researching the brands on-line.

So far what I picked up and so far fit fairly well:
2 x Sugar Cane Okinawa (1 hard washed, 1 raw denim)
Iron Heart 634S
Iron Heart x Self Edge SEXIH03BK (lot's of thigh room, but a little tighter down below due to the taper)
Levi's 501xx 1947 Deadstock
and my most recent is the Sugar Cane SC40601 Hand Loom Style (really loose fitting)

Look into the S5003 by Flat Head.
Kiya,
You guys have those at the store in a 33 or 34? I'll be coming in next week to check out that Iron Heart Jacket also.

Stretches out over time or stretches out overnight like a 10 year old pair of y-fronts?
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I picked up some LVC 1947 deadstocks in 36 x 34, hoping it would shrink to fit properly. After the warm soak and hang dryed, it was still too damn big. I then hot soaked them for 4 hours and timed dried them for 50 minutes on hot in my dryer. That gave me the shrinkage I was looking for. Not it's fitting my normally 32-33 waist and the 34 length shrinked to 31.

So I just really got into real quality denim since Self Edge opened and I picked up a couple of pairs of Sugar Cane Okinawas and Iron Heart 624S. I was wondering what other brands that you might know of that would actually work with my wider legs.
I remember going to American Rag and trying on like 8 different pairs of denim and coming out empty handed. Most wouldn't go past my thighs.
See pic below and that's me on the right. (Sugar Cane "Okinawa")

Those jackets are nuts, but those prices need to come down about 50%. And I thought I was crazy getting one of those North Face Japan NSE Jackets.

What's the best way to shrink a 1947 36x38 to maybe 32 or 33 x 34 or 36 -- Hot Soak and Dry on high?
I just picked up a pair of 1947 deadstock in 36x34 and I gave them a proper 10 min soaking in the tub and let dry, but still too large! I then machine washed them inside out with medium heat and air dryed. Now they are perfect for my normally 32-33 waist.

F'ing bummed. I came in early and bought a pair of Sugar Cane SC40601. I had to bounce for a friend's party, but I was told the raffle was going to be at 11pm. I rushed back at 10:45 to see the last raffle number being called. I hope 725 wasn't called out! Overall a dope event!

I picked up a pair of the Okinawa One Wash Indigos and I want to fade them faster than wearing it everyday for a year. Any recommendations? I saw the a couple of pairs of jeans in on the wall display at Self Edge and I want this pair to look that those.
