  1. thinking about it, the main factor is probably that i go around mostly in tennis shoes, so it is prob that im just not used to uncushioned footwear!

here are my lundhags: cool boots on non tarmac, although maybe i should have bought a lowa type military boot instead.

  2. been out just got back and see ive missed lots of pretty pics!

i think my main problem with a lot of shoes is comfort. that isnt comfort when wearing, but comfort in walking. i really require something that is going to be easy to walk in, that doesnt drain my legs from just general to and froing. that is maybe why i like the idea of a non leather sole unit such as the commando?

my winter boots im currently using are some lundhags forresters and even though they have a vibram sole unit, they are still very clumpy on concrete. i've had all sorts of boots, even roper style brands including lucchese, justin, but they just dont deliver that level of comfort you can get with an artificial sole. the most impressive prob being some campers i had.

so bearing that in mind would you experts recommend anything? maybe some crepe redwings?

  3. if you are in the eu (which i am, uk) and you buy from inside the eu, you dont pay tax on goods. at least i hope not!!

if i were to buy from the us then i would pay 17.5% on the value.

  4. well i bought mine in my correct size. guy said i can swap or whatever no problem if they arent right. is likely i will give them a quick soak and hang dry so i can get that made for me shape. wait and see how they are out the box first.

im kinda hoping i dont like these too much, or its gonna be an expensive year!!

  5. i often wondered what real diff between oni and oni-vedge was.. considering such a small price diff. i like the selvedge on the pockets though.. and it has a diff label.

the pbj puts me off because of having such small crotch area. i need to be able to breathe!

  6. have ordered sorahiko one wash from paris. 330euro + 30 postage to uk. they didnt mention a sale there!! prob paying full price. oh well..

  7. thanks for the offers/advice guys. i think for this one time, as i am unsure of my correct sizing, i might take a hit on the price for peace of mind. at least that way i can swap them nice and easy should i require a diff pair.

am gonna go for some indigo one wash sorahiko. is my correct size the best bet or are they likely to stretch a lot?

    thanks

  8. am a bit annoyed..

i wanted to buy a pair from 45rpm, but im in uk and as we already know they dont ship outside of usa. so i decide to speak to people in paris as they ship to uk and i wouldnt have to pay any taxes etc cos its from europe. however, i find out that they cost even more in euros than they do in dollars from america! 333 for sorahikos and 835 for jomons :o that is about £50 more expensive for sorahiko and £150 more for jomons.

oh well.. more money to spend i guess

  9. i really think that there are some great designs out there for women in raw denim now, even just by going on the pics in this thread. maybe it is because they can get away with wearing more fitted styles?
