  1. How hard you wear your jeans is certainly the most important factor. I'd just like to add that the cut itself and sizing decisions also contribute to the fading. Slimmer cuts - ideally sized down like 3 ;) - should look considerably different than a repro cut TTS.

I for example couldn't get any honeycombs in my ALD Frontiers (thanks for the rep everyone!), which are pretty loose. I still like em tho, don't get me wrong, I just think that the fades that turn most heads on any denim forum are high contrast fades, which are achieved by HARD wear, few to no washes and sizing down.

But somebody can probably find a pair that contradicts my statement. It's all relative and there are so many factors to consider. But that's why I love that shit! ;D

Never ordered from them, but they always seem to have all the newest models...

Yup, sanforized, almost zero shrinkage. The crotch on my Frontiers blew out on my 8 month old pair, but I wear my jeans pretty low which IMO supports crotch blowouts... But whatever, the denim is beautiful and streaky (but the selvage denim is probably different, never handled those) and if you're into the whole aesthetic of the brand, go get em. I can't comment on the fit of the prescots tho...

  3. Yeah, I like em too, but I'm always very sceptical towards Evisu EU stuff, cause you never really know what kinda denim they use. The japanese stuff makes it a lot easier to differenciate (no. 0 - no.3), maybe they should do the same with the european stuff and grade it somehow... They use italian denim, don't they?

  4. Hi, nice info and pics! There is one thing I really need to know about Yamanes: What about the inseam? When I was browsing Rakuten, almost all stores only offered a 33 inch inseam... What options do you have at the Store? 35 like Evisu No.2's or even a a 36?

  5. ryu, yes, it's actually slubby, but more like a sandpaper ザラザラ slub, instead of burlap ゴワゴワ slub you get from oni or pure blue. and it's heavy! it might be the cut, but it's physically pretty heavy, so it's a little challenging in this heat. ちょっと暑いっす。

funny beats, but i think you can see that this denim should suit your steez just fine, too.

chad, talk to you when you get back.

Mind to elaborate on those onomatopoeia, their use and meaning, Chicken? :D Denim related Japanese FTW.

  6. Whoa! Those are yours? Can we get some details? As you can see in this thread, I've been geeking on the D62s for a while but never pulled the trigger. Watchman--I think the D62s are the closest they have to a '66, but I was never 100% sure about the measurements so that's why I never ordered them. I'm due for a new pair and this has re-sparked my interest.

No, man, I wish these were mine.I got that picture off the G-a-r-d-e-n site. Do they ship internationally BTW?

As far as I figured it out with Google Translator they offer 3 cuts, tight, bootcut and straight leg, but ,yeah, measurements seem fucked up. I guess they are not sanforized, but I'm not sure at all.
