i used to have a monitor coat and i used to wear it with just a t.  hate to break it to you but if you haven't washed it, the inner elbows will have already delamed.

dannnng your elbows delam'd? i've washed it since but dang that really sucks. (lol but i never looked at the elbow soooooo…)

thankfully arc's warranty is solid i've blown through two pairs of veilance pants and they ended up swapping out for a different style at no cost.

I'm looking at P34 models too, going to set up an alert for ones in my size but..I reckon size medium would be fine in the P34 if i wanted it similar to my Nike ACG cargos fit?

LMAO you'll be collecting pants after the 2nd cop. Kinda like how I don't need another jacket but still browse regardless.

Pants came in. I'll be honest and say I was hoping for a looser fit. Here are some bad, overexposed photos. Thanks iphone se

    Hm.

Definitely a slim-boi pant; could see you having issues with an M with the proportion/length so it might just be the cut. Looks good; top block seems to be a little tight but maybe it'll stretch out a tiny bit with wear.

I avoid all direct skin contact with any of my GT jackets mostly cause 1 im paranoid and 2 my skin is oily. But if you do have skin contact and wash every couple of wears, you should be fine.

I think I'm too oily, probs. Sticking with gabardine or other materials has been better for me overall, but I'm thinking the same like the rest of you are saying to avoid skin contact. My Veilance monitor coat has neck wear from just rocking a t-shirt some days, which matches some of your experiences.

  4. Also, I logged in a few times yesterday to post and realized this place updates really slow compared to how I remember it; I would refresh pages and there'd be like 5-8 posts in a few minutes and people would be desperate to time being at "the top of the page" for WAYWT. Half the threads I'm looking at haven't been updated in years…it's like a time capsule.

I don't think gore-tex delamination is really the fault of ACR tho.  That's inherent to the material, and would be the case for any manufacturer using it. Do you find more success with gt in other brands?  Also do you find the construction quality of their products lacking?  So far I've been pretty mean to all of my ACR gear and its seems to hold up really well.  Even the seemingly fragile WS stuff has held together through all of my abuse.  I mean, it shows wear, but its clothing, not magic fairy dust.  It's not gonna stay new forever unless you leave it in the sandwich bag..

Agreed. I definitely am not expecting a manufacturer to magically improve the properties of GT. I find construction of ACR pieces to fluctuate depending on some of its features (such velcro cinch on sleeves exacerbating the creasing which creates friction and rips in a fairly consistent manner — and this is me not ever utilizing that feature at all).

edit: just remembered, every damn gravity pocket has created friction frays on each sleeve; so either i have velcro cinch tearing or gravity pocket tearing lol

Hope everyones gratuitous retail therapy has gone well~

After adding to cart and then ignoring it until it sells out, I'll rest knowing that I won't have to be annoyed at having another acronym piece fall apart or de-laminate after a year-and-a-half of wear.

Seriously now, this is some seriously surreal shit we're going through.  To think that this could be the way things are for a few months or longer is giving me real anxiety.

Maybe with this down time you can find the right hole to put the gem into.

Reporting live from The Bronx. I've been working from home for the past few years so this doesn't feel all that different to me besides no in-person meetings.

Need to figure out where I'm gonna go once the global economy collapses. Who has the compound on deck?

Going back to the days where there was discussion of an IRL sufu town/village aka post-apocalyptic compound.

chilling. i finally got approval to work from home so i'm acclimating to this. also thinking about moving some of the fragrance lab back to my apartment so i can keep busy. might try to tweet less. idk.

What frags we talkin' here. Did we revive the superfragrance thread? I think it died a while back but it was super good when we had a few daily active posters and reviewers on there.

  10. Hey did DCrevolution40 ever become a doctor — decked out in Supreme scrubs?

Pretty wild to see all these usernames again.

How's everyone holding up?  These are very surreal times we're in.  I'm stuck in Athens, fairly bored, hoping for all this to end soon so we can go back to (somewhat) normal life again.

I'm in Brooklyn, safe and sound. Working from home and canceled my trip to LA/SF :(

Hi. Thanks for periodically checking the thread even though I haven't posted at all. Since I last posted I've been working and getting by in NY. 2010/2011 has been mostly a transition out of online things and somewhat more into real life things; it helps that there are a lot of former Sufu folks living and working in New York so I get my fill of it still. Feels weird to post again, but if you're reading, thanks for looking at this!

I'm still slowly working on photography and getting things going. It's been mostly 6x7 film shooting for my personal work, but like the last paragraph, transitioning from online to offline can be tough (especially if it's related to creative work).

The jeans have been a part of me for so long that I haven't thought much of it after the first year. Been through two stressful moves, a couple of random inclement weather situations, lots of grit and grime — the usual stuff. They're still as durable as ever. They've been reinforced and darned via Self Edge NY as of six or seven months ago.

It's still hard to capture what they look like in real life; the color is dynamic and changes on the light, shade, and weather. From afar the wear has greyed out into a vague indigo / grey / white patina. A closer look and you can see these jeans do absolutely wear and fade nicely. It takes a little bit more effort than what you see with the jeans that are made for a shorter half-life (Flat Head, etc.) where you can see faster vertical fading; Iron Hearts have this tight weave and it's a cleaner look that's pretty obvious once you've seen how all the other jeans wear over time.

So, here it is. Two years.
