  1. Z, it all depends how soon you are going full frame. The 17-55 is the best lens for a crop, period. Don't worry about the build quality, it's not an issue and is the excuse people use for not spending so much on a lens. You could pick up a 24-70 or 16-35 which could act as a fast zoom until you go FF but you'll be sacrificing a bit on the wide or long end and won't have IS.

If it were me, and I wanted a zoom faster than f4, I'd buy the 17-55 and sell it later when you go full frame. They hold their value very well.

  4. Last I measured, my waist was about 33".

the 11's seem to fade pretty quickly. I've already gotten some vertical falling and a lot of knee fading after about a week and a half.

Sweet! I thought the texture had quite a bit of vertical falling. They lost quite a bit of indigo during the soak. Can't wait to start wearing these. I'm at work now and haven't even tried them on post-soak yet.

  5. Brownmetallic, do you work at BiG? Reason I ask is what you're saying about the 013 being more tapered than 011 isn't consistent with the measurements on BiG's website. It looks like they both have about half inch taper from knee down.

  6. ^ if you compare the cut dimensions of the 011 and 013, the 011 do appear to be slightly slimmer in the thigh as well as slightly lower rise. I imagine they're the same from the knee down though.

  7. 011's are back in stock. I've been [ ] close to kopping a pair. Just not sure how the grey weft will fade. I'd imagine they'd turn out less contrasty than a white weft?

Panda, have you been wearing yours a lot? Any comments on the fading yet? How's the texture, any vertical falling?
