  1. whiz, the shell is 100% virgin wool but feels kinda tech-y/almost scub-ish. the construction's pretty beautiful, piping along the top of the sleeves and piping along the "raglan" edge as well. fits really well in the shoulders and then flows out from there. i'll post a picture when it's cool enough to actually wear or sooner if i get too antsy to wear it.

  2. polio, i keep feeling like this sale was much less organized than usual... can you please confirm for me that i didnt somehow miss piles and piles of really good things, and that there was a lot of bad Varvatos lying around?

i'd only been to one prior to this, so i can't really speak to the organization. but there was TONS of bad varvatos/varvatos for converse/varvatos for 2(x)ist, etc. the jil sander coat was trapped inside a rack of bad parkas and motocross jackets. i lucked out when i found a pair of rick owens pants in a pile of canali dress pants, although the discount on those wasn't that great. over all, the things i liked i had seen in the store a couple weeks ago for the same price. the markdowns generally didn't seem all that great.

  3. i've been meaning to post these to this thread since the beginning, but never got around to it.

i bought these equestrian boots a couple years back at an estate sale for $10 but could never figure out how to wear them. they're just too high and too tight to wear realistically. should i pull a chris and cut them down to a more manageable size?

  4. BUMP

so i'm joining the work force and need a watch that doesn't look like a part of steven hawking's wheelchair. basically, i'm looking for a watch that something a depression-era banker would wear to make sure he's not late for his meeting with boss tweed. something like this:

just not dkny. i want a starter watch that's not a piece of crap, for less than say $300-400? any advice?
