  1. if i hot soak just the legs from say mid thigh down will that do anything to shrink in the legs a little bit? i'm not sure if i want to taper them .. before iwear them or wear them and then taper.. IF i keep them ..

    thoughts?

  2. just copped a pair of 1947's which are up in the sale thread but im wavering between flipping them and trying to break them in.

do the legs shrink in at all with a soak/hot wash? i have a brand new pair in the unwashed 1947 and im worried they wont stretch out enough in the crotch/hips area cause thats where its stupid tight. but im thinking of tapering the legs from the knee down, they are chain stitched correct?

i probably should've sized a 29 but the price on this brand new 28 (my true waist) was too good to pass. in comparison im wearing a 29 sam s710 currently..

so totally unsure whether to keep or not.. :/

  3. NEW UP BRAND NEW WITH TAG SUGARCANE 1947 28 x 32 UNWASHED MODEL

copped these through the net and just tried them on for around 2 minutes and the crotch area is unbearably tight. not sure if they'll stretch out but to be honest i dont really want to try stretch them out. gives me love handles.

my loss is your gain, they are located here in sydney with me $210USD shipped anywhere in the world registered post.

creases are from being folded up. i will consider trades in other new jeans, looking for cuts similar to sammy s710's or something interesting. momotaro/pbj 005/007 offers will be considered and if necessary i can throw money on top to balance out. but CASH is probably best at this point in time

  6. http://www.feitdirect.com/shop/products/Oxford-X-Ray-Black.html

if you havent seen Feit on hypebeast or slamxhype then have a search. handmade pure quality shoes. these are a size 8 but probably could fit someone whos an 8.5 in sneakers also. i am an 8 in sneakers and i had an innersole given to make up half size of room.

i bought these oxfords on the weekend, but within 15 minutes of wearing them onto the way to work i had a massive blister on my heel and subsequently spent my day in the office with my shoes off. so i'm not sure they are the office shoe for me,

the description is all in the link and ill have photos later on tonight if anyone is interested.

retail 340 AUD. i will ship international with registered tracking for 280 aud. i bought these on saturday but i dont know if i can deal with the pain to break them in but they are amazing shoes.

  7. ah awesome, cheers for that.

just wiped the pocket and did a little soak with white vinegar, looks like its mostly gone, but ill give it another treatment shortly before my wash this weekend. its not noticeable, but knowing i sat in gum on my denimes makes me OCD hehe

  8. hi, sat on some gum today.. got most of it out bu theres the little remnants thats stuck in the backpocket threads :( you cant tell from looking at first glance bu closer look shows the slightly light gum colour and stickness.. any solutions to get it out? its time for a wash anyway but i want to make sure the gum comes out and just doesnt harden...

    :( sammy 710's

  9. cross posted from samurai, but long time lurking. figured i'd add another samurai s710xx to the mix. owned since jan last year probably only 4-6 months actual wear due to the Aussie heat.

size 29 went up 1 from my actual waist, the gent at Hinoya recommended a 30 but i toughed it out with this.

2 soaks, 1 wash still plenty more to go to catch up to some of the others in this thread!

  10. long time lurker but thought i'd share my love of samurai. picked these up in my japan trip last year jan, but with the australian heat i probably had only casual wear last year, but closer to end of the year till now been wearing non stop. only 2 soaks - 1 warm in the tub, 1 hot in the machine - and 1 warm wash taken out before the spin cycle with samurai detergent. Still got a lot to go, but im pretty happy, its the first time i've really dedicated wear to a jean as usually i have a few pairs on rotation.

these are a size 29 S710xx i probably should've listened and got the 30 like they told me at Hinoya but i figured i'd tough the size one down. i'll post up a wear pic soon hopefully. i'm still amazed by the denim, and of the wears in this thread!
