  1. i've just upgraded to mountain lion and one thing that's really pissing me off (besides not being able to 'repeat' calendar alarms) is the autosave in textedit appears to be gone?

i used to open dozens of textedit files to jot my ephemeral thoughts then simply command q when done. when i'd reopen text edit all these untitled files would be there. i know i could save them all but this is laborious and the notes are, for the most part, useless within a couple of days. anyone?

  2. ^ i tried lush's 'dirty hair' cream today on recommendation. certainly not the worst i've tried - mild hold, mild shine - but it still felts / feels a bit too waxy. i'll see how (if) she washes out.

i actually tried a tiny bit of (black & white?) pomade on my damp hair yesterday and i think that was more subtle, believe or not.

  3. just a heads up for you guys looking to order from the UK site, whilst they've adjusted to 'western sizing' for the tops, it appears they've stuck with asian sizing for the pants.

    example:

jacket: uk medium = jp large

pants: uk medium = jp medium

  4. i wear just about everything in us10, 43 in GATs, etc.

i once owned a pair of cp bball hi's in 43 (this is 3+ year ago) but they were really long, but really narrow. i sold them. 42 however, was fractionally too short and definitely too narrow.

is the fit the same accross the CP line and / or has the sizing changed?

  5. i need a light hold cream (i'm hesitant to say wax / gel / etc.) as i fucking detest product that hardens or leaves any residue (after a rinse). so i guess this thing needs to be water soluble as i barely shampoo. the hold doesn't need to be strong, say 2 or 3 outta 10, but enough to loosely slick (wrong word) my wavy hair back.

and readily available. american crew et al. i'm in finland.

  6. ^ i always avoid base models. in fact, i nearly always fully spec my macs for longevity. i'm still using my late '09 17" without problem for this reason; no plans on upgrading within the year, either. remember, these aren't pcs - for the most part, they're built to last.
