These were on sale at my "local" (I use the term loosely) Urban Outfitters for 30$ for the blues, I had never heard of the brand before, but the denim and details looked nice (barring the horrible decision to use a clasp instead of a button). Had I been able to find a size I could actually button I was going to get them, have the tailor change the clasp to a button, and turn them into selvedge shorts... oh well

7.75 hem for sz 32 is awefully small. Are you sure of this measurement? It should be slightly over 8.
Yeah, I just measured again when I measured the inseam. The inseam btw is 34"

inseam????
Haha, whoops! I'll get that soon as I get home today, but I'm 100% sure I never hemmed them and 99% sure they've never been hemmed, but I'll get the measurement for you a.s.a.p.

I bought these a few months back from another member on here, I believe they were worn around a week by them. I tried them on once but never wore them out. I bought them hoping when I lost the weight I had gained they would fit, but despite a decrease in waist size my thighs are still way too big for them. Looking for 175 shipped. I can take pictures if you desire, but they look exactly like an unworn pair of PBJ XX-005's.

So CNBC is running a show called American Originals: Levi's: Sewing a Legend, apparently they're giving history and telling how to identify vintage pairs, not that most people here need that info.
Edit: haha, paul t was on the show. awesome

mrpenguin354 - Basically i'm planning on making one like the samurai one on this belt, but with one hook instead of two and out of sterling silver instead of pewter. Currently i'm rotating between my other belt buckles depending on mood (currently its my huge 3 rose famous stars and straps one)

So here's my e-leatherworks belt I made. I added the snaps option (they only had 100pack's of chicago screws) and the belt keeper option. I used my old belt to mark the distance between the holes and used the 5/32" punch to make the holes, then I cut it down to size with a fresh x-acto using my old belt to get a good shape for the end. I'm planning on making a solid sterling silver belt buckle like the one on the Samurai Python belt with the hammered texture on the outside (I took metalworking class this past semester) and i might make a Sterling silver belt keeper too. The light piece of leather laying beside/ontop of the belt is what the leather looked like before suntanning and oiling it.

thank god I got my 872's with tabs. I knew it wouldn't be long after the mass ordering from there that something like this would happen... oh well I guess thats life right?

I don't think i'd ever be able to get a pair of jeans with indigo weft, for the same reason i can't get black overdyes... i like the white(or ecru, or pink) weft. plus you must look like a smurf from the waist down after wearing these

That's pretty intersting. Do you have pics of your final belt? I like the d-i-y approach.
yeah, I'm suntanning it right now, but I can take pictures later tonight

I bought that, a 5/32 belt hole punch, and a pint of pure neatsfoot oil from them for like 27 dollars shipped. I measured out where I wanted the holes, then using my old belt I spaced them perfectly and cut them out. Finally i used my old belt to mark where the end went and cut it down to size... I love it so much more because I made it myself

wow, I got my 872's delivered today... 3 days from Japan to Ohio... I don't get stuff from 3 states away that fast. First thing I noticed was that they're beautiful, second was that the 18oz denim seems reallly light, third is that they're incredibly stiff. Pictures later.

I talked to them via email this morning. They said they'll be sending out over 60 orders tomorrow
Awesome, I've been checking my email like every couple hours hoping for the message that they've been sent with my tracking number.
