  1. The Evisu website says that No1 denim shrinks 9cm in the inseam length (from around 83cm raw). That's why most of us are shit out of luck with that denim!

hope theres not 9cm of shrinkage in the inseam or i didnt need to get my hemmed last month. guess well find out of my jeans are going to be too short after I wash them again (wash #4). figured they were done shrinking by now.

  2. Guys, if you were to get a pair of Evisu currently what fit / denim combination would you go for?

I want to proxy a pair from Evisu Japan at some point, but their photos online aren't the greatest.

I'd likely go for a pair of 38's, up from my normal 36 and assuming they'd shrink a good bit down the road.

And no gulls, since they look real nice without 'em.

    lot 2000 No.1

  3. Yeah I know, just playing. I think it was established over on DB that Sugar Cane could no longer produce those more innovative styles, as there was no margin in it (perhaps even loss-making). It's likely that the big money years for most JP denim companies are behind them unless they turn to the overseas markets, given the contraction of domestic demand, from what I understand...

    whats DB?

I've never been on that forum before.

The last time we heard about this collab from Denimio, they said they were still undecided whether to go for blue/green arcs or stealth arcs.

I contacted Denimio a few days ago to know when one item would be back in stock and I seized the opportunity to ask if it was still the case, they answered me that the arcs would indeed be blue. I'm personally not a big fan either, hidden arcs or darker ones would have been so much better i think.

  5. I have the S510 25oz 15th anniversary in 34, and had & sold the S510OG 16oz AK in 32. On my 25oz, the waist runs true to size, and they are too big for me by at least 1 size. So I went for a 32 on the 16oz AK's, and it seems the waist ran small on that lot. When raw the waist was too tight, so I sold.

re: the thighs, yeah those measurements you listed look accurate from what I've seen. The thighs are very roomy in this cut. Another measurement that's not  ever discussed is the hip width - these are wide across the hips, i.e. an inch or so above the crotch seam, and that's what give the appearance of saddle bags on some folks.

This is a great cut, roomy with a not-too-high waist. Very comfy without looking baggy. I'm strongly considering getting the S510OG 16oz AK in 33 form BiG while they still exist... but oh so spendy... but that OG 16oz AK denim haunts my dreams, LOL!

what kind of shrinkage can i expect from this denim. the pair im looking at was hemmed to a 30 and thats the shortest i can go. need to find out of there is anymore shrinkage left in these or else im passing.

  8. they are the contest pair so i think they were raw. ill take half to a full inch in stretch but it seems to take a whole lot longer than i expected

  9. if the thighs are that roomy then the rest of the leg has a bit of a taper to it?

i had a pair of 510's prob 8 years ago but i bought the wrong size so I never was able to get a real feel for the how the cut was suppose to be.

i was looking at the S510AI-OGSP if that matters.

  10. need some help from 510 owners

looking to maybe pick up a pair of S510AI in a w30 (true to size seems to be the concensus) from another member

I was given these measurements. is the thigh really that wide conpared to the rest of the jean? seems like they might have been mismeasured.

    waist - 30
    Upper thigh - 12.25
    Leg opening - 8.5

one black and one tokyo blue. wish i was able to get that design above but now that i think about it, i think it was a part of a 2 pocket design package and i didnt like the other pocket design. really wanted to get my chinese last name on the back but it would have taken too long. Should have got it done in Osaka due to quicker turn times.
