  1. Yes they are Sanforized.

The Waynesville, like their slightly narrower cousin the Greenville, are not produced any more. I've got a pair of 11 year old Waynesville that I got from Interstate, they're wonderful jeans if you're looking for something baggier than the fashion norm.

  2. Silas started off as Holmes in Slam City Skates about ten years ago. There are a load of clothing companies/shops that are now heavily influenced by ex-Silas employees. The ones I know of include:

    Amos Toys

    Tonite

    Slam City Skates

    Story

    Playarea Design

    Pointer Footwear

    Fred Perry Footwear

    Lee Gold

    Alakazam

  3. silas? ahead ? in the last 4 years?ahahahaha

that's just a lame excuse for bankrupcy

Name one other independent brand that has launched the career of so many people in different aspects of clothing and footwear design and production.

I've a feeling that they were far from going bankrupt before the company was purchased.

  4. My understanding is that X-Large JP purchased everything off the old owners including all of the old T graphics and patterns. Though it seems that some illustrators who used to be involved have contributed some work (There are some Will Sweeny T graphics in this line) that's as far as the connection between the companies goes.

The line looks good though, not sure how the sizing will work. There was some talk about someone distributing this line in Europe.

  5. I just got back from Rotterdam. The pot (both solid and weed) is really good, cheaper than Amsterdam and the city is not over-run by as many tourists and assorted freaks. It is pretty rough if you stray into the wrong areas and the police are not down with BMX'ers smoking weed on the street...

Try to find Pluto which was the best shop I came across, it's just over the road from an amazing bakery...

  6. -"Two-block" haircut ala japanese boy working at nom de guerre

-Big "aerobics" high-top sneakers ala Rick Owens

    not necessarily high tops

but ive started seeing people wearing shoes that are few sizes too big just to get the big-foot effect.

-Really wide straight jeans (kinda like tenderloin T rider denim)

    -Mega-sized hoodies e.g. bernard w.

    ask dj_rajio & jmatsu

they know some trendy ass thangs

Tenderloin in general. I've just seen the winter collection and it's amazing.

  7. i rode bmx for a good few years and it annoys me to see people commuting on them, just doesn't seem like what they were designed for. even on 24s i think you'd be better off with a decent full sized bike.

I agree that if you've got to get from A to B quickly then a BMX is a shocking form of transport but they do have the ability to make a mundane commute a lot more interesting.

On a completely unassociated note Scott Ditchburn and Ben Lewis are too good...

    Scott

    Ben

  8. Carhartt's European line has a few different styles in a 13 wales cord including the:

Simple Pant (un-yolked, slash pockets, high rise)

Staff Pant (Wide straight leg 5 pocket jean)

Western Pant (Tapered 5 pocket jean)

Slim Pant (Slimmer version of the above)

All of them retail for about £55. (Sorry about the unashamed plug.)

  9. I came across some John Bulls yesterday in a vintage store but they've definitely been altered (no chain stitched cuff) and I wasn't 100% sure that they're legit. I didn't have my camera with me but they've got a heavy duty YKK zip, plain back pockets with the red tab on the inside of the right back pocket and the denim, though not very slubby, is really hairy.

Is there anything that I need to look for that will confirm their authenticity?
