thats incorrect. i have fbt lattice from 09 and they're made in korea. from my understanding: folk line is made in china, everything else is korea, except for japan made models which are specified in the naming with "JP".
personally the JP fbts all look slightly off vs the classic pairs back in the mid 00s (when black was still part of the color palette!). something to do with the stitching and the shape of the toebox vs the classic models. luckily ive been picking up a few second hand pairs off yahoo hk auctions while visiting from nyc.

awkward otaku cry: sorry but what is natural about starting wearing a brand with buying the most expensive pieces from the collection and wear it neck to ankles (buying the same items erlsn is wearing for the j28 shoot)? last but not least what's tech about having a gt jacket for indoor(?) gig with 14 empty(?) pockets?
you don't get it. nothing about ACR is "natural". same thing with a lot of what Rocky wears. the fact he manages to make the un-natural look relatively natural is due to his natural confidence. the same confidence that makes him popular in both rap and high fashion circles.
he can wear head to toe because he can afford to. you're delusional if you think people buy and wear ACR solely for dodging some rain. it's fashion.

rocky has far more confidence in his style and looks more natural in ACR than any of the awkward otakus in this thread.

Is Rocky wearing ACR? Would be a cool way to tie back to the army fatigue days of 90s hip hop.

I just bought a 101 sz s from a few seasons back and DAMN the thing is tiny. compared to a sz s bickle or nomad, its at least a size or maybe 2 smaller.

rirawin - how's the quality on the suede varsity? did you own previous varsity with wool body/leather sleeves?
f/w 08-09 is the best season imo. so many quality pieces taking traditional shapes and adding a bit of hidden tech with strong urban tone. more blacks, less browns.
i still need to buy a lieutenant 3L in sz S, if anyone out there has one. Willing to trade FW 08-09 green nomad 3L (w/ leather tabs and buckles) in sz S. PM me!

being poor will lead to unhappiness, but miserable motherfuckers dont suddenly become happy once they get rich. theyll still be miserable motherfuckers who happen to be rich.

speaking of green nomads w/ leather buckle:

advice to all new ppl moving in for internships: spend as little as possible on housing (still going to run you at least $700-1k/month in manhattan) because if you're doing it right, you won't be spending any time in your apartment.
best stretches of nyc are the ones where you don't go home for a whole week even though you haven't left the city.
and this city is about the hustle. if you want it bad enough, then find a way to make it work.

what do you guys think about mastermind japan? i never really knew how popular they were in japan, but the reseller market loves them. easily recognizable branding in basics w/ generic shapes.

mine split after less than 1 week....
I wonder if they finally fixed the OG sole. Mine split apart after 3 weeks of wear.
lol i dont think this would be acceptable for any other brands. especially for close to $1k a pair. #hypebeast

thanks for the article! very informative.
i understand why other brands get mad at gore-tex, but as a consumer the product has worked as advertised for me. most of these outdoor brands were built on the gore-tex name, as stated in the article. i cant hate on gore-tex defending themselves from turning into a commodity like eVent is doing.
gore-tex is the king. and the king rules with an iron fist. as long as the product still works, then the rest is just background noise.

I like how people act that Kanye is the embodiment of style when he is stacking the same re-bloggable "it items" as the self-proclaimed fashion elite.
Not even hating on the fit.
who should the masses look to? you? kanye is far from perfect, but at least he has an obvious passion for fashion and product vs. most celebrities who wear whatever stylists tell them to.

my bickle is falling apart! buttons falling off, clasps falling off. id be pissed if i paid anywhere close to full price. hell im still pissed

theyre still vulcanized sneakers at the end of the day. ive found CP-style construction to last a lot longer than vulcanized soles.

I really hope the mavs put down the knicks on sunday. Nothing against Lin, but this bandwagoning is getting a little ridiculous. Can't argue with his performances, though.
Racial pride > team fandom
It's not ridiculous if you're Asian instead of a white guy.

Not sure if anyone here wears Chippewa boots, but they're the best deal I've found. Especially if you have wide feet like mine and need EE width. $130-150 on zappos and made in USA. Resoleable as well.
