  1. As a way to ween you off your addiction for listing in community sales threads, superfuture is offering free 1 year superseller subscriptions to anyone who POSREPS THIS POST has previously posted in the urban techwear community thread. PM us.
classifieds listings are a much more efficient way to list and search the site for items and communicate offers. This latest classifieds update has added a lot more improvements to functionality.
superseller status gives you added benefits. Alternatively, you can pay to list items with flat fee and no commissions.

Community sales threads will soon be limited for posting.

  2. @piece keeper  i'm moving this to THE FUTURE OF SUPERTALK thread ...
thanks for well explained assessment of state of things around here and WHY sufu is still relevant...

HOW to keep it going and sustainable is the question that needs answering.
it needs a lot more $$ to keep going long term and dedicated tech people to keep it running properly and a dedicated new team to micromanage the whole thing.
right now it's got none of these 3 elements in sync.
that said - the situation can always change [and will at some point] so all your observations and suggestions are still totally relevant.

I'm guessing rep took up too much bandwidth/space and axing it lets the forum run so I'm okay with no longer having it!

it probably does take up too much bandwidth... but that's not the issue.
devs still troubleshooting it along with some other bugs.
    will be sorted.

Sadly Hypebeast forum is closed and I can’t seem to access/find my thread. I had much more concise instruction.

didn't know HB forums closed!?. that's actually a shock. not many left.

If I try an upload on my iPhone and the photo is >2mb, I get an error message. The workaround I use is to email the photos to myself in a lower resolution (therefore smaller size, ie <2mb) and then upload. Basically, a pain in the harris.

    ok -- > this is now 7mb.
seems when the servers changed the upload limit got reset to default 2mb. just noticed your post and investigated and got devs to change.
any tech shit like this please post on superofficial or send us a pm otherwise most of the time it will get buried. it's not like i sit around all day reading every post.

having said that - it costs sufu [me] money to store images and bigger ones = higher bandwidth so we might have revise back to 2mb or make unlimited for supermembers.

BTW --> does anyone remember what it was b4??

I just tried to upload a pic from mobile but got the "something went wrong" error again, this is getting really annoying. Does anyone a the solution for this?  Do sufu admins even know about this?

Anyhow, jeans are coming along nicely, not Karl territory but sure as hell fast. I'm 12 wears in since the last wash and I'm trying to get to 100 before next wash, only 28 days to go :D

    didn’t know about it...⚡️

    getting techs to investigate...

interesting that styleforum is still doing fine then. if what you were saying was true, wouldn't styleforum also be dead?

no, this site is dead because the people who were in charge took their users for granted. and its not coming back, sorry.

as far as i am aware styleforum is far more mainstream than supertalk ever was or will be.
some people have also told me there are less cunty members over there.

majority of posts on supertalk 10 years back were either on supertrash or supermarket. they probably went to reddit or grailed. there is definitely a lot less crap these days.

anyway we can only do what we can do. really not sure what your expectations are.

  8. they got hoovered by fb from 2009 onwards.
however facebook now completely moderated by algorithms so good luck with that... esp. fb groups.
it seems we're now entering the post fb era and that might see a move back to human run indy online communities??
anyway..... that's our crystal superball prediction at the end of 2017...

see you in 2018 for year 15 of supertalk... and year 19 [!] of superfuture
